ᴺᴼᵂ ᴾᴸᴬᵞᴵᴺᴳ : Modern Loneliness
Lauv

0:58 ──ㅇ────── 4:12

Do you know the feeling of modern loneliness?

The one where you're never alone but you're always depressed. Stupid, isn't it?

Or maybe you're not always depressed, you just feel irrelevant. Irrelevant like a passing trend, a piece of paper thrown on the ground.

You momentarily lose your sense of importance in the world yet find it the next day, and so you can't tell if it is just you that feels like the world is spinning inconsistently.

Your motivation is gone, your life has stopped. During the day you feel as if it's passing so slowly, but during the night you wonder why time has elapsed so quickly that it's already 12am.

You blame yourself on any mistake, or for the situation you are in. Because, who else to blame if not you? You're the problem, aren't you? No one's perfect but you're just a little less perfect than everyone, you're the one singled out.

Then you ask, "why can't I tell anyone, why can't I go to someone for help?". "Would anyone even want to listen? Would they judge me?"

The answer remains unknown until you break out of that safety bubble you've locked yourself in like a coward.

A coward with no gut to speak out about what they feel.

One that locks the door and throws the key under the bed but wonders why they're locked in. It sounds mean but we're all cowards.

Deep down, you know you're one.

Deep down, we're all filled with imperfections and perished bravery. Humans are made of it.

All the dirty little acts and qualities, we've somehow managed to accumulate them all under that shining smile of ours.

Look under your skin into your lungs. What's been suffocating you? Look to your stomach, what's making it full? Examine your heart, who's the one controlling it? Is it you, or is it...never mind.
