Chapter 3: Carnage

'So, the carnage has begun.'

Several Suna and Oto shinobi flew into the stadium. They clearly had the intuition to hold up the shinobi here, and they were relentless. Kakashi saw Naruto fighting off an Oto jonin, and quickly dashed over.

"How many?"

"At least 50, as of now. You know I can't be held up though, so I need you, Asuma-sensei, and Bushier Brow-sensei to take over so I can gather my team."

"Go stoke your flames of YOUTH!" exclaimed another familiar voice. Naruto chuckled and made for the Finalist box.

Sasuke noticed Naruto on the way, and looked towards Hinata, who nodded in confirmation. Rock Lee had appeared next to her, and Shino walked over. Naruto then flickered to the group, looking void of any feeling. It gave all but Hinata shivers down the spine, and was comparable even to the Yondaime himself, according to Jiraiya and Hiruzen.

     "You all remember our assignment?" asked the captain. He received a "yes" from all four of them, and nodded. He created a Kage Bunshin, and proceeded to send it in the direction of the Kage Box. The group then set off towards the forest surrounding the stadium, where the Sand Siblings took Gaara.

     The clone had begun towards the Kage box, hoping to make it in time. He saw Orochimaru holding Hiruzen hostage, and turned off the seals that held him back. They had just jumped back and separated when Naruto arrived next to Hiruzen.

     "Hope I'm not late, jiji." he said.

     "Right on time, Naruto-kun. Ready to keep up with your Hokage?"

     "I've been ready old man." Naruto remarked, before rushing towards Orochimaru. They engaged for a moment, as a purple barrier rose around around them. The Snake Sannin then broke the engagement, before unsealing and equipping a mask reminiscent of the god of death and doing some hand signs.

     'Tiger, Snake, Dog, Dragon, no!' Hiruzen thought. "Naruto get away from there!" he then exclaimed. Naruto did as told, and was appalled to see three coffins rise from the ground. His reaction was priceless to Orochimaru upon the coffins opening.

     There stood the Shodai, Nidaime, and Yondaime, ready to face the Sandaime and a hopeful future Hokage. "Heh, I think I'll let you keep your personalities, but you will do my bidding." said the snake.

     The three undead Hokage snapped to consciousness, and they all looked disappointed. The fact that they had been brought back was not good news. For Hashirama, and Tobirama, it spelled massive trouble. While it did for Minato as well, he was also looking at someone he never thought he'd see.

     "Naruto? Is that you?"

     Sasuke lunged towards Kankuro with a balled fist. Kankuro barely dodged the assault, but only by lifting his attention from his puppet. Said puppet was picked apart by Shino's insects, while a fan-less Temari was quickly apprehended by Hinata.

     "If we're all done here, we should catch up to Naruto and Lee. Why? Because they are up against a formidable opponent, and should not attack alone."

     "Hn."

     "R-right!"

     Meanwhile, Naruto and Lee were busy using their impressive speed to confuse a halfway-transformed Gaara. Naruto confirmed that it was the Ichibi, lesser known as Shukaku, thanks to Kurama, and realized that this would be a long day. Lee was motioned to go first, and promptly began his assault. Slowing the jinchuriki down, this left Naruto a huge opening near the abdomen. One roundhouse kick later, and Gaara was coughing up blood.
