Chapter 11: Massacred

     Massacred.

     All of them.

     Not a single one left remaining.

     Every single one finished, with precision and elegance.

     Sasuke had never seen such a sight in his life, yet here was his older brother, beholding said sight.

     Every single target was nailed. Even the one in the blind spot!

     Sasuke was beyond impressed with his older brother, as always.

"Nii-chan! Teach me how to do that!" the little Uchiha boy exclaimed. The only time he ever acted younger than he was was when his older brother, Itachi, was around, doing prodigious things like this.

"Not right now, Sasuke, I want you to try it on your own time. Come to me for help only if you can't get it." Itachi explained calmly.

Sasuke pouted, hoping his baby face would work.

"Come here."

The boy lit up, running Itachi's direction. His mood was quickly ruined upon receiving the double-finger poke to the forehead, stumbling and falling down.

"Perhaps next time I'll teach you, Sasuke. For now, let's head back." Itachi apologized. It wasn't enough.

Sasuke attempted to do exercise himself, only to sprain his ankle when he was about to jump.

After finally being on their way home, Itachi and Sasuke passed by the Konoha Police Department, which was run by the Uchiha clan.

     "Itachi-niisan, are you going to work with father, too?" Sasuke asked.

     Itachi paused for a moment. "We already have a lot of Uchiha in the Police Department don't you think?"

     "Well yeah, but wouldn't they be better if you were there?"

     "I already have my own duties, Sasuke, under the Hokage."

     "But then I could join you and-"

     "I will not be working on the Force, Sasuke." Itachi finished firmly. Sasuke pouted, and the former continued walking.

     Eventually, they returned to the compound, and Itachi didn't say another word all night.

     Sasuke was walking around the academy early that day. He was always early, but Itachi dropped him off particularly early before any other student would get there. Perhaps it was just a tactic to nurture the younger boy into a generational talent as well.

     The Uchiha was just walking the halls currently, when he heard some instructors talking excitedly about something.

     Naturally, Sasuke had to know what.

     "That boy the village despises? He's graduating early! Who knew a little spurt like him would be on par with Hatake Kakashi and Uchiha Itachi?" One instructor rambled. Sasuke beamed at his big brother being praised so highly like that, but there was something bigger at play. For instance, who was the kid everyone hated?

     "Uzumaki Naruto is his name." a familiar voice chimed in. It was Umino Iruka. "And he's not just a little spurt, he's rumored to be the son of the Yond-"

     "Yeah yeah, that kid. Crazy isn't it, Iruka?" Another instructor interrupted.

Meanwhile, Sasuke's eyes widened considerably. Naruto is graduating early? He was great but... that great?
