Thursday 24 May 2020, 9:03am - Mary's Cafe.

The smell of coffee ran past my nose - it was so bad I almost choked on the smell of it. Jesus, since when did coffee have such a strong scent to it? I bent over to grab my phone from my bag, when I heard the Cafe's door bell jingle, and looked over to see my best friend Kaci Flaire sprinting towards me screaming my name. How she has this type of energy at this time in the morning, we'll never know. When she finally got to my table, she snatched the chair from beside me and sat down.

"Hey, how'd you know I was gonna be here? Are you stalking me or what?" I gave her a faint smile just to let her know I was being sarcastic; Kaci can be a little oversensitive sometimes. "Hey hey, calm down now, I came here because we said that we would meet and talk about something really important over breakfast...remember?" No, I didn't remember at all, when and why did I agree to that? "Yeah, sorry It took me a while to process that, I had a late night - brains not woken up yet. Anyways what's the news?" 

"Well, I got us four tickets to go to some dance concert next Friday! I know it's not the biggest news in the world, but it will be in a minute!" What could she possibly mean by that?  "Um, Kaci I think you're forgetting there's only two of us in this friendship? Y'know, like Rachel and Monica? Lorelei and Rory? The iconic duo's?" I said while trying to apply another layer of my Dior Lipstick and a dab of highlighter to my nose. "Shut up! Im not thick, ok? What i'm implying is that there are two other people going. Two other people that just so happen to be men. Two other men that just so happen to be the Marco Smith and the Leo Prince!"

 No way did those two names just come out of Kaci's mouth. No way, No way, No way! Incase you didn't know, Marco Smith is Kaci's soon-to-be-boyfriend, and Leo Prince is the hot new exchange student that just moved here from France. He's only been here for like a week or something, I don't know, I don't pay attention to details, but anyways you cant blame me! He is something else. 

"No fucking way. Kaci you are an angel sent from heaven! You are quite literally the best person ever!  Do you realise how much you may have just changed my whole entire life? Do you realise that now, I don't have to go to an extreme length to pull a super hot boy again? I love you so much! You've saved my life and I'll never ask for anything from you ever again!" We all know that one's a lie Alana. With all of that happening so quickly, we both jumped out of our seats and hugged each other so tightly we felt like we were going to pop, we both started screaming and saying things that I'm pretty sure neither of us could understand. Everyone in the cafe shot their heads 'round to watch the 'show' we'd put on. We both dashed out of the cafe to go to the mall and to try things on knowing we can't afford anything. A part of me was telling me that I shouldn't have accepted Kaci's offer, considering we have exams next week, but none of that mattered to me anymore, all that matters is that I get Leo to fall in love with me and actually love me, instead of just using me for my body or the sex just like all the other boys I've dated.
