When the lady left the two in the waiting room Storm yelled,

“BITCH WHAT THE FUCK-”  but got their mouth covered by Ray.

"MMMMHMMM MMMHM!" Storm continued to yell, having their voice muffled.

"You have to be quiet, ok? There is already someone questioning us and you aren't in any position to start yelling." Ray said as he propped Storm up on the sink and grabbed towels, trying to stop the bleeding.

"Ok so one, what the actual fuck is going on. Why is my arm broken? What knocked me out? Are you gonna help me and can you put my arm back in place?” Storm rattled off as Ray tended to their wounds. He had a few injuries himself, a few cuts and bruises here and there.

"I don't know. Because you got dropped by whatever knocked you out. I have no clue. Yes and this will hurt." He said as he set Storm's arm back into place but not without a lurch from them and a quick trip to the toilet.

"That hurt like a bitch." Storm said, wincing at their arm.

"Sorry but it's better than it healing wrong. " Ray said wrapping their arm in a towel with a stick for support.

"You'll have to get an actual cast though because this won't hold forever.” Ray said after he was done. Storm looked up at him asking,

“How do you know how to do this?”

“I don't know, it just feels like I've done this before" he said looking at his hands confused.

“Ray? Storm? Are you two ok?” a familiar voice called out.

"Yea mom we're ok" Ray responded walking out of the bathroom and hugging his mom. Storm walked slowly behind him with their arm strapped across their chest.

"Hey Mrs. Lessa, where's my dad? " They asked.

“He's in the car sweetie, let's go. I've already checked you two out and it's not safe here." she said, getting a bit darker with that last part.

“Storm what happened?” Their dad asked, trying to touch Storm's injured arm.

“Dad, it's broken, please don’t touch it." Storm said, wincing from the movement.

“Oh sorry kiddo let’s get you two home we have something to talk about." He said with a solemn look. Storm and Ray were both wildly confused by their parents' words. They never saw them this concerned in ages. Ever since they saw that monster.

It reminded them of certain instances like before when they were heading to a restaurant, and saw this group of kids running from an inhumane zoo. One of them had goat legs. Another instance is when they were in the park and saw a shadow like a dog but was taken by their parents. Things weren’t adding up to them. They were generally curious about what their parents were so suddenly concerned about as well.

When they arrived at Storm’s house their dad went to the kitchen and grabbed the med kit taking out a brownie. Ray being that person asked,

“Why was that with the medical supplies? Aren’t we a bit under age to get high-'' Storm whacked him upside the head with their uninjured arm hissing out,

“Of course not dumbass they wont let us do that!” They immediately covered their mouth as they turned around to Ray’s mother who raised an eyebrow at them. Storm gave a sheepish smile saying,

   “Sorry ma’am” she nodded saying,

“Just watch your language alright?” Storm nodded remembering how hard Ray’s mom hits when you curse. Storm’s dad was wildly entertained but broke off a piece of the brownie making Storm eat it saying,

“We have something to tell you about them.”

The two straightened up at this. They never really were able to know much about their other absent parents. Storm was told,

“At a crossroad you’ll find her'' whereas Ray was told

“Whenever you look up at the sun, smile.” It was weird to them but they went with it due to how hurt their parents were when they brought back the old memories of their ex-partners. They didn’t mind that they had each other to keep company.

They sat in the living room as Ray’s mom went around grabbing 4 backpacks as Storm’s dad tried to explain,

“Look you two aren’t exactly human. You see you two aren’t normal… You two are demi-” Leesa interrupted by yelling,

“NAMES HAVE POWER NOLAN!! WAIT UNTIL THEY’RE ON THE HILL!!” Nolan sighed saying,

“Then how in gods name will I be able to explain this without explaining that?!”

“Just wait, they'll know soon.” Leesa sighed. As soon as the words left her mouth, a golden lyre appeared above Ray’s head.

“Mom what the fuck is this-” He asked, jumping up.

“Calm down Ray, it's ok.” She nodded to Nolan almost as if saying it’s time.

“Ok you two go get whatever last minute things you need, you won't be back here for a bit.” Nolan said, shouldering a backpack.

“I’ll be waiting in the car with Mrs. Leesa, don't take forever.” Both of the parents left the boys sitting at the table absolutely dumbfounded.

“Ok so I’m not hallucinating again, am I?” Storm asked, looking at Ray very confused.

“I don't even know if I heard it right myself.” He looked up to see if the glowing thing was still above his head. It was gone but he felt weird, like it was still there.

“Let's go get our shit together and hopefully not lose our sanity in the process.”

“Can't lose what we don't have, Golden Boy.” They laughed, playfully hitting him in the arm as they walked to Storm’s room. They grabbed what they could before running out to the car. When they got buckled in Nolan hit the gas hard not wanting to slow down. Only times he did, was for gas and bathroom breaks. Ray and Storm were left so wildly confused and their parents refused to tell them what’s going on. They were for the better word pissed that their parents won’t tell them what’s going on at all. That was until they hit the airport.
