Chapter Four: Backstories

Danny's Pov,

The rest of the school day went by quicker than I thought it would, I'm glad Dash didn't make anymore attempts to pound me again like he was earlier at lunch. He must've been scared thinking that Johnny was still around, I still can't believe he saved me that's another good deed he's done, he's done 2 good deeds in just one day. I'm still wondering why I felt the butterflies in my stomach from thinking about him. After the last bell, I walked to the front of the school with Sam and Tucker to wait for our parents to come to get us or in Sam's case her limo driver. After maybe 45 minutes of standing near one of the trees that stood in front of the school a black limo arrived.

"Theirs my ride," Sam said, annoyed not wanting to ride in the limo and would've rather walked home.

"See ya tomorrow, Sam," I said waving goodbye

"Yeah, see ya later," Sam replied as she walked to the back of the limo and climbed inside before it drove away, As me and Tucker watched her leave Tucker looked at me and asked, "So what are you doing later, Danny?"

I knew I couldn't tell him that I was going to see Johnny who knows how he'd react to it besides freaking out and screaming at me asking if I had lost my mind so I told him the half-truth, "Um besides patrolling for ghosts probably just homework,"

"Oh cool," said Tucker we looked to see his family's car pull up to the school with his mom driving it. "Theirs my mom, See ya later dude."

"See ya later, Tuck," I said watching him leave.

Hours later,

Everyone besides me and some of the teachers had already gone home I was standing in front of the school waiting for Johnny to show up, I was about to give up when a familiar shadow appeared from behind the tree and flew over to me.

"Oh hey Shadow," I said with a smile happy to see the black shadow before I looked around for Johnny but didn't see him. "Where's Johnny?"

Shadow motioned his hand for me to follow him. "Oh, you want me to follow you?" I asked. The shadow nodded his hand, "Okay, let me change into my ghost form first,"

Shadow nodded his head and waited, I looked around to make sure no one was looking before a white ring appeared in front of me changing my clothes to my black and white jumpsuit with white boots, gloves, collar, and belt. My hair turned its white color and my eyes changed to their ghostly green.

"Okay, you lead the way," I said. Shadow nodded his head before he flew off with me following him, They flew through the city, till they ended up at the park.

Johnny's Pov,

I was sitting on a hill not far from where I parked my bike enjoying the view waiting for my shadow to come back with Danny, I looked up to see them just as they arrived. I watched as Danny landed on the ground with Shadow still mid-float.

"Thanks for getting him, Shadow," I said Shadow nodded his head before returning to me. "Sorry for not coming myself, I was too busy enjoying the view."

Danny looked in the direction I was looking, The sky was still its purple color but all the buildings had their lights on and they shined so beautifully against the sky. It was so beautiful, it was as I was looking at it for the first time I was so busy with Kitty and trying to get her back that I never took the time to truly notice it. I looked at Danny he an astonished look on his face, he was thinking the same thing as I was.

"Oh no it's cool," said Danny, coming over to sit next to me. "I enjoy seeing your shadow,"

"What ya enjoy seeing him more than ya enjoy seeing me," I asked teasingly.
