Cynthia goodsky pov

I was sat on my chair in my office I let out a big sigh as I placed my pin down
and I lean back in My chair I looked at the huge stack of papers on my desk and once again I sighed it seemed ever day and ever night I had this many papers but, nothing could kill my excitement I felt like a child again with the new students comes new interest but this year was different, Arthur was now attending, chills ran up my spine just thinking about how he's matured
gives me an excitement I can't explain I am eager and I can't sleep I felt like a child on they're birthday waiting for gifts however, I must wait till morning turning back to the papers I needed to get done I sighed once more but before I could pick up my pin I felt it... a breeze a chill ran up my spine all my instincts screamed at me. my window was closed I know it so who or what opened it turning around I jump up with two spells ready and another well on the way, I looked at the site in front of me Avery had reared his talons readying to attack and getting a spell prepared. and then I saw him his obsidian black clothes that made the horns of the vritra look bright in comparison. it appeared similar to a military style outfit neatly knotted golden buttons and laces meet with golden stripes that flowed elegantly around his fit almost perfect body, with his moon lit clothes and aura I saw he had golden shoulder pads on under his green cloak it was so beautiful it made Jim's and stones that nobles wore look drained. his pale wheat blonde hair dripped down his head and flowed to his chin past it a little. it looked fluffy and soft yet sharp. but the elegant and prestigious clothes and look this being had all paled in comparison to his eyes, he pierced me his golden eyes that made every Jim ore stone or crystal I had ever seen look drained of all beauty and  uniqueness to serve them.
yet they lay a deep indescribable sorrow and emptiness almost unnoticeable, I felt a familiar presents around him I felt almost safe this being who looked like he struck down gods give such a familiar feeling why? I questioned myself

who- before I could say anything he spoke his voice calm and confident

"hey director"

why does he sound so familiar there's no way...right?"

"who are you?"

he slowly moved his right foot down the windowsill with it his presence became heavier, but I don't think it was intentional he continued forward with each inch his legs crept down he became more visible and my eyes widen as his right foot steps onto the ground my jaw slack an confused look  plastered across my face I didn't believe what I was seeing I didn't want to believe what I was seeing my voice came out in a disbelieved tone with worry

"Ar-Arthur? I questioned"

"yeah, he said as his face became visible"

gray POV

after a while I finished filling in Cynthia about almost everything regarding the war the asuras and my theory on why I was here now, to say she was shocked was an understatement she had asked numerous questions but not as many as Avery, who was now on my shoulder for the past few hours grooming himself.

"and after I woke up I was on the ground."

"Arthur i-i don't know what to say,"

"you don't need to, all I need now is you're assistance,"

"to think this is how you've lived I'm
truly sorry,"

"living is not how I'd put it but. you have no reason to be sorry for me you did more then I could have ever asked so I feel like I should thank you unfortunately I do not have a proper way to right now."

"I need no thanks for doing what I feel is right Arthur. didn't you say you needed my assistance what with."

"a lot." I stated in a dead tone
