the more mature you're perceived as a child
the more childish you realise you are
adults foolishly assume you're ready for the wild
when in truth you are painfully far

they expect you to know more and more
and all you can do is nod you head in understanding
for they won't explain, you're sure
so you just keep withstanding

and even if they are willing to answer
you are unsure of how to ask
you weren't taught to be a chancer
you were only taught to complete a task
