Chapter 18

*Three days later*

"Juliet? Hey, she's finally awake. Welcome back to the world." Said Jake.

Juliet slowly opened her eyes. She tried to sit up straight as the memories of previous events flooded back into her mind but she fell back. So much pain. She was so weak.

"Woah, easy there, bud." Said Jake as he handed her the remote to move her bed.

She slowly sat herself upright. She looked around.

"Where's Andy? She asked.

"He went to get some food. Hospital food sucks so he's gonna try to smuggle in some sushi. Mmmmm sushi." Jake answered.

"Wait... Jake... What about..." She looked at her stomach.

"Oh... It's gone... I'm so sorry Jules."

A single tear fell down her cheek. There was an awkward silence. Jake's phone buzzed.

"Oh, that's Ella. Shit! The dog just destroyed some of my gear." He said, clearly frustrated.

"You can go deal with it if you want to. I'm cool here. Andy's probably on his way anyways." Responded Juliet.

"Are you sure?" Asked Jake.

"Yeah I'm fine." She said.

"If you say so. Okay umm... The nurse button is beside you on your left and uuuhhh... Oh! Here, I thought you might want this." Said Jake, handing her her phone.

"Thank you so much." She said as he rushed out the door.

She let out a sigh and put the bed back into a laying down position. She turned on her phone to look at all her missed texts and calls.

10 texts, 3 calls from Andy

3 texts from Ella

2 from CC

A few from all her family

And 1 from the whole band.

They all pretty much said the same thing: "Get well soon!" Or "I'm so sorry for your loss". Except for Andy's. The first few were from him getting concerned.

Were are you, hun? Room service is here and I want to eat breakfast with my baby.

And then,

Juliet? Its been a half hour... I'm coming downstairs to look for you.

And then the next text he sent wasn't until 1 day later... He must've found her. Juliet began to think. How did this happen? She didn't trip... She had to be pushed... But who would-

Her sentence was cut off by a buzz. She had a text. It was a picture.... Of Andy. He was bruised and had a nosebleed. He was also unconscious. He was in what looked like a garage... She read the text.

Uh oh! Someone's gotten into a little trouble! Don't worry though! You'll be together soon enough...

She dropped her phone. No. No she had to be dreaming. Then it clicked. Ashley getting out of jail, her being pushed, and now Andy? It had to be... Ashley was back and in Australia.

She frantically reached over the side of her bed and pressed the nurse button about 20 times.

A nurse walked in shortly after.

"I need to get out of here. I need to speak with the police. Is there any way I can do that?!?" She was short of breath now.

The nurse walked up beside her and pulled something out of a drawer.

"Answer me, god dammit!" She screamed. She was in full panic mode. She looked closer at the nurse who didn't seem to be paying any attention to her. It was definitely a guy. He had on one of those surgical masks. He turned around and she saw him. There was only one person with chocolaty brown eyes like that. Ashley Purdy. He must've seen her realization because before she could scream he placed a hand over her mouth. She felt a sharp sting in her arm. That's what he pulled out of the drawer. It was a syringe. She started to feel dizzy... Very dizzy. The last thing she saw before she blacked out made her want to puke.

Those chocolaty brown eyes.
