BABOINKS~!

Annyeong, Saengie! Haha I haven't actually posted anything about how joyful I was attending the ICON in Surigao with you—along with YFC Bicol (and Manila), my Online Household, and the rest of the delegates—so allow me to do it now.grin emoticon

I have declared this year's ICON as my last, at least my last as a YFC still, and spending it with you was most definitely the best way to make it my most memorable one. This was your first and that made me joyful all the more. We may have struggled finding enough funds to support our needs for the Conference but that was not much of a concern to me because I knew we could find ways, because we always find ways—God finds ways. And we found ways, indeed. Praise the Lord for His generous and thoughtful people!

The ICON was a grace-filled journey for me, and having you with me made it more beautifully epic. We planned on watching our favorite shows while on the road, we even planned to 'talk' while travelling but none of those happened because we were not seated alongside each other. Haha but many greater things happened to us both.

First was, of course, we packed our luggage with things we knew we needed, and things we thought we needed, even though it was almost pitch black and it was too hot to think clearly coz CASURECO III was... nvm. Second, we traveled 36+-ish hours just to get to Surigao City, Surigao Del Norte. Third, we had a glimpse of how wonderful Sorsogon, Samar, Tacloban, Surigao and the rest of our stops are together. Next, we joined the 4500+ delegates of the Conference in worshiping God for all His graces. We took so many pictures together as well, even though some of it were taken for us to simply have 'pictures taken of us both'. Haha:D But the most amazing feeling and experience I had with you of the ICON was when we both danced on the same stage (the ICON stage!) for the Advocacy Parade. Seriously! That was an event I would never forget. That moment, I proved once again to myself that I become more confident when you are around, and the 'truly cheerful and carefree' side shows off because you're with me and your Young, Christian, Happy vibe simply radiates and affects me positively. Ayieee!XD

I'm excited to attend more ICONs with you. But things would surely have changed by then. (I may already be an SFC on the next YFC ICON. Haha)

You've been away for the past days for the Regional SHOUT and I can't be happier knowing that you're with people who will help and lead you throughout your journey in YFC. And you're already learning to pack your bags by yourself, travel with friends your age without me to tell you the dos and don'ts, and of course, attend trainings without me to remind you about this and that. Praise the Lord because you're growing so much in this Community—literally and figuratively. Haha!
