My enemy

Chapter 5

At the end of the day I just return home and think about the day that I just had. My mom was already at work so I walked home. When I get home Ava calls me.

"Hey wanna come out for a bit?"

"Nah I think I am just gonna stay at home it's been a long day yano?"

"Fair enough I guess I will see you later." She says as she hangs up.

As I am about to turn the tv on to watch Supernatural my doorbell rings. I open the door to find Jack stood there. "Jack why are you here? Also how do you know where I live? You have never been to my house."

"Danny lives down the road so I have seen you or your mum come home."

"Danny?" I ask.

"My mate." I just nod and let him in.

"So why are you here?" I sit on the sofa.

"I need to talk to you about earlier." He says sort of shyly.

"Look it was a mistake it should never have happened you and I both know that." I say switching Supernatural on.

"That's the thing I want to do it again." He say's lifting my face to look at him. His eyes flicker from my lips to my eyes until he eventually kisses me again.

"Jack, I think I am beginning to like you, but I am not sure." I say breaking the kiss.

"Well, then we shall kiss again to find out." He says before leaning in to kiss me again. We kiss for about 2 minutes before I break for a breath.

"Jack? How are we going to hide this from everyone at school because you can't just go from bullying me one day then with me the next, it doesn't make sense." I say still trying to wrap my head around this.

"Easy, I will still call you Ariel and bully you but it'll be less and less each day till it stops then we can be together." He says kissing my forehead.

"My mom won't get back till tomorrow want to sleep over?" I immediately regret after saying.

"So you have gone from unsure to asking me to stay over?" He smirks at me. This here is why I regret even thinking it.

"Do you want to or not?" I say hitting his arm lightly.

"Yes, I just need to message my mom to tell her I'm sleeping at a mates house, before you become offended she'll say no if I say my girlfriend's house." He says picking up his phone not realising what he just said.

"Girlfriend?" I say puzzled, I didn't think we were there just yet.

"Yeah what about it?" He questions.

"Jack, you just said your mom will say no if you ask to sleep at your girlfriends house." I say.

"I did?" He looks at me confused. I nod at him. "Well do you want to be?" He asks in a hushed tone.

"What?" I say quickly.

"Do. You. Want. To. Be. My. Girlfriend?" He says taking breaks between each word. I don't say anything instead I just kiss him. "I'll take that as a yes." He says laughing. " mom knows I'm sleeping out, so what you wanna do?"

"We could go upstairs and get ready for bed then watch a movie, with snacks?" I suggest not knowing what to say.

"Sounds perfect babe." He says standing up off the couch. "I will be back, I have to go get my things, I'll be really quick." He places a kiss on my forehead and heads out the door.

I head upstairs and begin getting ready for bed, I put on my shorts and a tank top since it's quite a warm night. I brush my teeth and wash my face, I then go into my room and put Disney+ on, I put Avengers on because I have an addiction to marvel and I want to watch it. As I go downstairs to make popcorn the doorbell goes so I answer it and Jack is there with a rucksack. I let him inside and we go into the kitchen to get snacks, then we head upstairs.

"You like Marvel?" He asks shocked.

"Yes, I can't lie it's an addiction." I say blushing.

"Just when I thought I couldn't like you anymore then I already do I find out you love marvel!" He says kissing me. "Wait, are you Team Cap or Team Iron Man?" He says lifting his brow.

"Team Iron Man! I'm sorry but-" Before I could finish what I was saying Jack picks me and spins me around whilst laughing his head off. "Put me down, you maniac!" I say trying not to laugh. He places me on the bed and starts tickling me. "Jack, I swear to god, stop tickling me!" I say laughing. He eventually stops tickling me and we sit and watch Avengers and eat snacks.

We get through 3 of the 5 Avenger films and I fall asleep cuddled into Jack. I begin to hear Jack snoring lightly when my phone rings. I pick it up. "Hello?" I say sleepily.

"Aria, it's 11:30.." The voice say's.

"Shit, alright give me a sec and I will face time you." I say beginning to panic. I hang up the phone and turn my lamp on.

"Babe? What are you doing?" Jack says waking up.

"Uh at 11 I always facetime Ava, but because I fell asleep she just called me." Jack just nods at me and lays back down. I facetime Ava.

"Ari, it's 25 to 12 and you're asleep, I'm setting you up with someone and you can't say no!" I groan at this comment.

"I can and I will say no." I say pulling a face.

"Can I say no?" Jack says in a deep voice raising his hand.

"ARIA LEIGH SMITH, DO YOU HAVE A GUY IN YOUR BED??!!?" Ava yells.

"I might." I say but can't help but laugh.

"Well, who is it then?" Ava asks.

"Uhh. I can't say." I look at her as to say please don't be mad.

"You can't have a boyfriend and not let your best friend know who he is, it's just rude." I chuckle at her comment.

"I'd tell you but you'd be pissed off with me and I don't want you to."

"You really would be pissed off with her." Jack says.

"Oi, no-one asked for your input so shut up! I promise I won't be mad."

I turn to look at Jack to ask if I can and he nods at me.

"Fine, it's Jack." I don't give a last name because we know at least 4 Jacks in our grade.

"Jack who? Dickhead." She pulls a face at me.

"Jack Benjimen..."
