The Mate Chase Begins

As The sun streams through the small window I groan and wrap myself further into the welcoming embrace of the thin sheet that covers my small mattress.rubbing my eyes I squint as I look at the bright light let off from the alarm clock arms lengths away from the mattress. Gasping I leap out of bed,tossing the sheet aside. I had only ten minutes to make my father breakfast or he would punish me. Memories from last night flood back,causing me to squeeze my eyes tightly together willing them to leave my mind. My feet lightly hit the floor as I run towards the door to my room.my body still slightly shore from the beating I received last night after my father returned home from the bar.
Tiptoeing down the stairs there is no sign of my father but as I get closer I hear voices in the kitchen.my wolf natani whimpers in fear that it is one of my fathers friends that he would bring home while drunk,they would beat me And my father wouldn't even bat an eyelash if one of them wanted something more. I peak into the kitchen to se my father with his back to me, speaking to a fairly pretty woman with blonde hair and Hazel eyes. I quietly sniff the air and determine that she is a werewolf,and has a mate. But why was she talking to my father. She must have seen me peaking around the corner because she everts her attention to me as soon as she smells the presence of another wolf.
"Ahh, you must be Lilla, I'm Amanda. I was just informing your father that it has come time for the mate chase and I am here to get you." She said happily. My father glared at me making me want to run and hide but I knew he wouldn't do anything with this woman here. "Come dear I'll help you pack" he said kindly to me,I knew this was just a show to make Amanda think we were actually a happy family.
"she'll be to the car shortly" he says escorting her to the door.once she is to her car he is in front of me in seconds,grabbing a fistful of hair. "If you find your mate you will reject him or I swear I will hunt you down and kill home before your very eyes"he snarls pulling me to his face "get your shit and get out of my house" he snarled, showing me onto the stairs.i yelp quietly as my stomach hits the banister of the stairwell. Seeing my fathers tall frame still fuming I pull myself to my feet and hurry up the stairs with a slight limp from an U healed injury from one of the past nights. When I reach my room I quickly lock the door behind me and slide down the wall, my face completely void of emotion. "We're finally getting out"Natani yips happily. I grin like some sort of idiot and put my only pair of shorts and a black sweatshirt under my arm along with an extra pair of underwear. I slip on my torn up tennis shoes and slip out of my room and down the stairs. When I reach my father at the bottom of the stairs his brown eyes still held anger and his brown hair sat combed back against his tan skin. He grabs my arm tightly causing me to whimper in pain.that's defiantly gonna bruise,I thought to myself. "Keep your mouth shut you stupid little whore" he snarled lowly. He releases me and I nod tearfully. Turning and walking to the door I turn the handle but before I fully open the door I turn back to my father "goodbye father"I say as a tear slips from my silver eye but I quickly wipe it away and start towards the black four door suburban. The drive was long and neither me or Amanda said a word.after eight or so hours I slip into the welcoming darkness of sleep.
