sunoo swore he has never felt so happy in his whole life. this was probably the best period of his life

no one has ever cared for sunoo like hyewon does. correction : no one has ever cared for sunoo

his friends, yeah they do care for him, but it's different for him as they've been knowing eachother since kindergarten. their bond is stronger and his relationship with yang jungwon and nishimura riki is surely different

they've been friends even before sunoo changed

child neglect has never been something strange to him. for his parents, taking care of him was an optional

with his father being an alcoholic and his mother being a workacholic, sunoo was always neglected by his parents

most of the times he was home alone and had to learn how to survive by himself. he would secretly sneak out and go to see a therapist as his own life was consuming him. he had serious depression when he was 14 and ran away from home when he was 16

this caused him to detach himself from his emotions, wanting to stay away from any type of feeling that wasn't emptiness. therapy did helped him, but it was his decision to keep his cold personality on

getting attached to anyone was forbidden inside his head, thinking that they would soon start to ignore him like his parents did

sunoo has never been himself since he was 9. he was just like his girlfriend : bubbly, cheerful, happy and a literal sunshine

yet the people that created him were the cause of his own breakdowns. god, he would love to make them suffer just like how he did

"hey sun, are you even listening?" hyewon snapped her fingers in front of his face as he came back to his senses

"what's on your mind?" she asked, resting her face on her palm as she admires his soft features that were sun kissed

hyewon swears kim sunoo is the prettiest person she ever saw

"nothing" he smiles cheeky at her, taking the straw of his drink and placing it on his pink-ish lips before gulping down hus coffee

"what was i saying then?" she raises a brow, tilting her head to the right lightly as her lips form into a small pout

"fine, i was drowning in my thoughts, sorry hyewonie" sunoo smiles embarassed, scratching his nape as he should have admitted he was spacing out in the first place

"what are you thinking about? you know you can tell me anything"

true, hyewon has become his own small rant space. the first door he'll be knocking if he's sad

just in three months of dating, she has become his comfort place, his home and his shoulder to cry on

she's the sun that lights up his dark, rainy and cloudy days

"just about my parents, you know . . " he has told her about his parents. it felt like a weight was taken off his shoulders after hyewon was so understanding and comforting

god, the world doesn't deserve an angel like you

"wouldn't you want to . . meet them again? maybe clearing out what they did to you and giving them answers? i'm sure they're wondering where their son is right now and if he's safe" he chuckled, shaking his head. never in his life he'll want to meet his parents again. not even on his deathbed

"trust me when i tell you, it's better like this"

"trust me when i tell you, it's better like this"
