Prologue

Pit...pit....pat....patpit...pitit...pat...

My eyelids grew heavier and heavier as each and every drop of my blood fell to the cold, paved ground, landing with a few pits and pats.

I grasped Ryuu's shirt, pulling my head close to his chest. I winced at the pain coming from my neck that soon felt like a burning, desirable, sensation.

ngh... I groaned.

Ryuu's large hands pulled me closer to him, sinking his teeth into my neck even deeper, draining me of my blood. He would at first start too pull away...but then he would just get even deeper, more intense. It seemed as though he wanted to stop...but couldn't.

I tried to pull away but he just wrapped his arms around me tighter, squeezing me.

"Ryuu...s-stop....please....s-s-stop-p....it..h-hurts..." I managed to get out.

He finally pulled away, eyes a deep, crimson red. They looked guilt filled. He looked at me, then at his hands frantically. He then cupped my face in his hands and looked deep into my eyes and spoke almost into a whisper, "Shhh...don't say a word for another five minutes. Forget you ever loved or knew me. Forget about what just happened. You were in the woods, deep, and fell across a wild animal. You were very lucky and managed to escape. Now, go to the hospital and forget. Forget about me, your love for me, and immortal, unnatural beings..."

A sudden flash of confusion hit me and i briskly looked all around at my surroundings. I was alone...in an alley....I smelled blood and realised it was mine. I quickly ran to the hospital and tried to remember what just occurred. An animal attack. That's all i could remember but..for some reason... I felt like i was missing something. I felt...empty...
