Resurrected Memories

Part 1

My heart was racing a mile a minute. My eyelids heavy and eyes dry. I could see nothing but white light that burned, even though my eyes were shut. A constant chatter of voices above me rang in my ears and echoed. My mind seemed jumbled and lost. A sudden darkness and weariness came over me, and I jumped into a deep deep....deep sleep.

My eyes fluttered open, and saw a white, clean ceiling. The crisp air smelt sanitary and stung the edges of my nostrils. My lips felt dry and cracked as i tried to open them. I attempted to speak, but nothing but silence came out.

Footsteps sounded from the hall and stopped outside the door. I heard the rattling of the doorknobthat opened. The person, that i suspected was a docter due to the hospital like setting, walked in and stood before the bed i was layed upon.

The docter spoke in a light, gental voice. "Rei, i am Dr.Noriko. It seems to be that-," she paused, then sat on the edge of my hospital bed."That you were attacked by some strange animal in the woods. Luckly, you made it to the hospital, but you still lost a lot of blood. You will need to stay in the hospital for a few more hours until you are abke to be dispatched."

I nodded briefly, not quite sure what to say.

Dr.Noriko smiled and gave my forehead a light pat, then left.

Relieved by the no longer presence of the docter, i sighed. I slowly began to sit up and have both feet dangling off the side of the bed. My legs felt like lead weights.

The sudden sound of someone behind me startled me, and a cool breeze sent chills up my spine. I briskly turned my head and saw that the window was open, the curtains being blown by the wind, and an old looking note right infront of my hand. I picked the note up and read:

 My sweetest,

Although it has only been mearly a fea hours, my old heart aches is despair of missing you...

At that, the note ended and a sudden flash of memory hit me.

 My sweetest... forget me...
