More than just friends (Yena X Male reader)

Chapter 1

It was 2011. In Manchester, news broke that Manchester United signed Y/N for a small fee on a four-year contract. Y/N was 22 when he joined Manchester United. He had interest in K-pop and had always fancied having a Korean girlfriend. Four years later, Y/N went on a holiday after the season was over. Upon arrival, Y/N headed straight to the Airbnb apartment that he had rented.

Yena was born in 1999 and was a hardworking student. She had never missed a lesson in school and had good grades. She had often been chased by many guys during her middle school days but she turned them down. It was the year 2015 and Yena had just finished school for the day. It was the first year of high school for her and she had made a few friends. One of the friends she made was Kang Hyewon. Yena walked out of the school with Hyewon who suggested that they go get lunch. Yena nodded her head as the two headed to their usual fried chicken store to have lunch. Upon arriving at the store, the girls ordered their usual food and started to eat once they received the order. As they were eating, a boy approached the two girls and handed Yena a flower.

"Please go out on a date with me," said the boy.

Yena looked at the flower, only to return the flower to the boy and rejected him. Yena explained she was not interested in dating now and wished the guy all the best. The guy could only hang his head in shame and walked out. After the boy left, Yena continued to eat as Hyewon told off Yena for rejecting another boy. Yena shrugged her shoulders and continued to eat, leaving Hyewon to sigh really hard. After the girls were done eating, the two girls decided to walk home. As they walked, Hyewon asked Yena why she did not want to go on dates.

"I don't know, maybe because I want to focus on my studies first. Once I graduate from High school then I will look for a suitable guy," Yena explained.

"Lies. You're just being choosy," said Hyewon as she showed Yena the tongue and ran.

This action left Yena surprised as she shouted at Hyewon and ran after her.

Meanwhile, Y/N had just checked into the Airbnb apartment. After putting his luggage in the apartment, Y/N decided to go out for a walk. Upon leaving the apartment, he walked out to breathe the air, making him smile. Walking down the street, a girl was running and ran past him. Y/N looked at the girl and shook his head. As he was about to continue walking, another girl who was running bumped into him which caused both parties to fall. The girl had fell onto her arm which Y/N asked her if she was alright.

Yena had chased Hyewon all the way to her home when she accidentally bumped into a guy, causing both to fall. Yena fell onto her arm as the guy asked her if she was alright. Yena apologized and said she was alright. When she looked up at the guy, she was surprised by his looks and stared at him unintentionally.

"Are you really alright?" said the guy, as she waved his hands in front of her.

This made Yena refocus as she nodded her head and apologized once more. The guy smiled and told her to be careful. The guy walked off as Yena turned to look at him. By chance, Hyewon went back to Yena and saw what was happening. This made her giggle as she approached Yena and asked her if she was alright. Yena nodded her head and hit Hyewon on the shoulder.
