More than just friends (Yena X Male reader)

Chapter 2

Yena stared at Y/N who waved his hand at Yena. Yena quickly focused on Y/N and nodded her head. Y/N smiled after Yena nodded her head and told her to never run too fast on the streets. Yena apologized once again which Y/N told her that she did not need to apologize. Y/N then offered a handshake, introducing himself.

"My name is Choi Yena, you may call me Yena," said Yena, shaking Y/N's hand.

This action made her friends giggle, making her feel embarrassed. Looking at the girls who just giggled, Y/N assumed that they were Yena's friends. Y/N told Yena to have fun and work hard in school which Yena understood. Y/N and Yena said their goodbyes as Y/N walked off and headed out of the school. Yena wanted to say something to Y/N but did not have the courage to do so. She sighed as the three girls realized something was wrong.

"Why did you sigh? I thought you said you aren't interested in dating anyone?" Hyewon asked.

"I just want to be friends with Y/N," Yena replied, feeling sad.

Yena's confession surprised the girls as it was soon their turn and they bought their snacks. After buying the snacks, the girls sat down at the bench and started eating. Yena was unable to eat any food which made the girls feel concerned for her. Jiwoo tried to cheer Yena up but to no avail.

"Looks like she really likes him," said Jung Eun.

The other two girls nodded their head in agreement as Yena placed her head on the table and sighed even louder.

Meanwhile, Y/N headed off to his next destination. Y/N went to see the JYP building and was surprised to see the streets around it being empty. After taking a photo of the building, Y/N wondered if he could enter it but realized that a security pass was needed to enter. Y/N decided to leave the area and head off to somewhere else. Before he left, he heard noises from a distance. Turning to the direction of the noises, he realized that the noises came from the winners of the sixteen. This surprised him as he greeted them and they greeted him back. As Jihyo and Mina were football fans, they recognized Y/N and called him by his name. Y/N became shy when they called his name as Jihyo asked if she could get a handshake from him. Y/N agreed and shook her hand shyly. Jihyo got excited over the handshake and told the members that she wanted to take a photo with him. Y/N obliged and had his photo taken with Jihyo. Once the photo was taken, the girls had to go back to training and Y/N waved goodbye to them.

"Today is a good day. I can't wait to see them debut soon," Y/N said to himself.

Soon it was evening time. Yena headed home from school, still feeling sad that she was not able to be friends with Y/N. Once she arrived home, Yena went straight to her bedroom and laid on the bed. She started to roll on the bed and kicked a huge fuss. Yena's loud fuss was heard by her parents who came to ask her what was going on. Yena quickly hid herself under the blanket and said it was nothing. This made Mrs Choi shake her head as she hit Yena and told her to have dinner. Yena got off the bed and joined her family for dinner. As they ate, Mr Choi noticed Yena was eating with a sad face.

"What happened Yena? Did something happen to you?" Mr Choi asked.

"Nothing, I am just not in the mood to eat," Yena replied.

Mr Choi pat Yena on the back, telling her to cheer up and eat. Yena sighed and continued eating slowly. Once dinner was over, Yena went to wash up. After she was done washing up, she received a message from Jiwoo who asked for help on some homework they received. Yena quickly called Jiwoo and explained how to do the homework. After speaking on the phone for thirty minutes, Yena and Jiwoo ended the call as she suddenly felt hungry. This made Yena want to get something from the nearby convenience store. She then left the house and headed over to the store. Upon arriving, she looked around but was not sure what to get. As she thought about what to buy, a man entered the store. Yena looked up at the man and realized it was Y/N.
