Why is life so unfair? Why do other people got to live life to the fullest, while I'm here... trying to survive in this life?

These thoughts rushed through me like a blowing wind as I was walking on the road, soaked in the rain.

I've never thought that life would be hard on me.

I just need a miracle. A miracle is all I need. All I really need.

As I was thinking about the miracle, a sudden rushing of light flared upon me, as I hear someone saying, "Watch out!"

"Wait... wha-"

*deep silence*

My heart was throbbing in fear thinking that I'm dead. Unknowingly, I was carried by someone.

I was asking for a miracle, but then... I met him.

[ 1 year before]

*alarm clock ringing*

"Y/n! Your phone's been ringing all day!" Mom shouting in the kitchen while preparing the table.

*yawning*

"It's morning already? What time is it-Oh no... I'll be late!" I said as I rushed towards the bathroom.

20 minutes later...

"Y/n! It's time to eat"
"Coming!" I said while walking towards the kitchen. "I can't believe that you'll be late in your first day of school," said my mom as she sat down to eat.

"Mom..." I said as I pulled my chair. "It's alright. The teacher won't notice anyway," I joked.

Mom turned to me with a serious face. "Y/n, you know very well that school is very important. You have to have a good foundation for you to live by," my mom insisted.

"Mom, don't worry. I'll keep that in mind," I said as I smiled at her.

My mom and I are the only ones living in our home. We were complete before, with my dad and my brother. The four of us were always together, inseparable, and always joking around.

Things were doing well, but not until my dad was scammed by loan sharks. That's when things were starting to get out of hand.

I'll keep this a secret from now. But in this moment, I'm glad that my mom is with me.

"Y/n, what's wrong?" My mom looked at me worriedly. "N-nothing, mom. I'm just glad that you're... umm... that y-you made this omelet for me," I said while awkwardly giving a smile. She looked at me and laughed. "Now, stop fooling around. The time is running out. You have to go now."

"Oh, r-right. Gotta go, Mom," I said while sprinting towards the door as I carefully wear my shoes. "Bye, mom!" I waved at her. "Bye, sweetie. Be safe," she said as she waved back at me. I replied with a smile.

As I got out, I thought I'd be embraced by the growing coldness of winter. I forgot, it's summer; my favorite season.

As I was walking towards the road, a motorcycle suddenly passed by in front of me. I instantly jumped in fear. "What's wrong with you!?" I said as I looked at the guy pass by.

"I almost died because of him. Ugh, he just ruined my morning," I thought. I glared at him as he was miles away. I walked to the road and found myself at the gate of our school. Yes, you got it right. My school is just a walk away from our home. So, I just don't understand why Mom would worry about me being late for school.
