It was a normal day for Harley, so far at least. Monday's were never his favourite, but he managed to get through them like any other day of the week. Usually. He thought today was going to be just another day in his very boring life, but he thought wrong.

His friend, Darren, was mindlessly babbling about whatever he did over the weekend. Not that Harley was paying attention or anything. Darren's weekend didn't really sound that interesting from the few sentences he heard after tuning him out completely.

The Maths teacher, Ms. Cater, walked into the room, but stopped at the doorway to talk to someone. Presumably a teacher, a few seconds later, she walked into the classroom and clapped her hands twice, Darren finally stopped talking.

"Alright class," she said, catching everyone's attention, "Today, we have a new student, and he's just moved here. So make him feel welcomed."

That made people start to talk, obviously. It's not very often that we get a new student half way through the year in some small town in Tennessee. There were hushed whispers about the new kid.

"It's a guy! Do you think he'll be hot?" And, "Do you think he'll be cute?" Those ones mostly came from the girls, but he also silently hoped that this new guy would at least be somewhat decent looking.

"Okay! Peter, you can come in now!" Ms. Cater shouted towards the door.

The new kid—Peter—walked in looking a little nervous with a shy smile on his face as he made his way over to the teacher. And if Harley were to say that he's seen anyone that's more breathtaking than Peter, he'd be lying.

The second he saw Peter, his breath hitched and his heart started racing a mile a minute. He could feel his cheeks starting to heat up as his eyes widened at the sight of him.

As Peter introduced himself, Harley took a moment to just take in the fact that someone so perfect was standing right there, in front of him. His hair, a beautiful colour of auburn, had loose curls that looked as if they used to be gelled back. Moving on from Harley's intrusive thoughts of how much he wanted to run his hands through Peter's hair. His eyes were like caramel shining in a sunset, absolutely stunning, just like the rest of him.

While Harley continued to admire Peter, basically checking him out multiple times, he heard bits and pieces of sentences. One stuck out at him and just made Peter even better.

"I just moved here from Queens last week-" He's a cityboy. Not to mention that Peter's voice was addicting.

After that statement, there were audible gasps from around the classroom. That made Harley realize that he's not the only one that may find Peter attractive.

He ignored the small bit (very large amount) of jealousy at the thought of someone that he hasn't even talked to, dating someone other than himself.

Once he realized that Peter was finished with his introduction, he made brief eye contact with him before tearing his eyes away from Peter's doe ones. Harley quickly looked down, blushing furiously.

"Peter, you can sit in front of Harley" Ms. Cater pointed at him, and Peter looked back at Harley then smiled when he looked back up.

He melted when he saw that smile, gorgeous, was the only thing Harley could think of to describe it. But then mentally panicked when he realized that Peter was sitting in front of him, and also walking towards him. He held his breath, but Peter sat down in the previously empty desk in front of him.

He breathed out. His heart was still running laps, and he was still uncontrollably blushing as he stared at the back of Peter's head.

The rest of the class felt like a blur with Peter being in Harley's presence. Ms. Cater seemed to have realized that Harley was making the biggest heart eyes she'd ever seen at Peter. She smirked at him then continued teaching. He saw that.
