Leaning against the wall, panting, you glared up at the younger brother who thought it would be fun to scare the living daylights out of you by dropping from the ceiling.

"What the hell, Peter," you gasped. "Why was that necessary?"

"It wasn't," was the simple reply. Quickly your anger began to show.

"Then why the jumpscare? I swear if this was another prank Sam and Barn-," you were cut off when Peter sprinted down the halls of the compound away from you. There was your answer... they can't leave the poor kid alone, can they?

Sprinting after him, calling out various forms of "Come back here, coward!" and "Parker you little spider shit!", everyone in the compound quickly took refuge in whatever secluded rooms they could vanish into, fearing their involvement in yours and your best friend's little squabble. They had quickly learned that the two of you had a unique way of settling misunderstandings, ranging from destructive plastic sword fights (those were very quickly confiscated by a disappointed Cap with a patriotic lecture about indoor activities for and not for the gym), to water gun fights soaking everyone and everything (Tony put a stop to that - indoors at least - after damaging some of his tech via water damage), to food fights in the kitchen and simple wrestling matches when you would inevitably tackle him to the floor.

Running from the compound's living quarters through the common room and common kitchen, and halfway to the gym finally, the chase ended your banter with Peter when he tripped over carpet and you ultimately tripped over his feet, landing on top of him. Immediately you began tickling your victim as you two became tangled in a pile of indiscernible limbs.

When Peter's ribs began to hurt, he was released from his torture as Natasha - wait no crap she told you to call her Nat - walked up to both of you, watching as you and your little brother righted yourselves after your chase.

"Are you two done? Y/N has training scheduled and Tony is asking for you, Pete," Nat declared as she observed the two siblings, who were still playfully shoving each other and bickering back and forth.

"This isn't over, Spider-boy," you promised [read: threatned] your brother. "I'll get you back when we have group training. Tell the dynamic duo that dared you to be more creative and watch their backs. Thanks!" With that you turned around and followed Nat to the gym as Peter paled just a tiny bit, knowing you were now holding a grudge and - knowing from experience - you'd find a way to get back at him.

Slowly he made his way to the Lab to find Tony - and maybe ask for some protection from you.

A few days later, the Avengers had their group training session. By this point, Peter was nervous about your retaliation while Sam and Bucky weren't worried about your threats at all. What could a 19-year-old with a spider for a brother do to them?

The whole compound knew about the small scuffle Peter and you had. In preparation for Y/N's grudge, Steve had made sure that she was not on the same team as Peter, Sam, or Bucky in the hopes that it would be resolved by the end of the training session. His plan worked, only the outcome was surprising to everyone other than Peter.

By the end of the training session, Bucky, Sam, and Peter were all covered from head to toe in slime and glitter from tiny little flash-bangs of slime and glitter. All three sat together, glaring at the culprit, who was grinning from ear to ear, a mischievous twinkle in her eye.

"You know, one could mistake you all for twins in that new getup you three have. You guys twinsies?" Y/N taunted in a baby voice.

Grumbling, the three quickly ran off to shower as they were teased by the other team members who were spared from the revenge. It was safe to say no one would be trying to instigate a prank war against Y/N unless absolutely necessary.
