The little girl's hands shook as she held a small cup. She tried to bring it up to her lips, her eyelashes fluttering in fear of the cup dropping. Just before the cup could reach her lips she dropped. A high-pitched gasp released from her mouth.
A pale hand slithered under her and quickly caught it. "Careful, Flora" A pale, almost sick-looking, boy said in a rough Russian accent from beside her. He had a crutch under his arm. He sighed and sat down next to his sister. He smiled and pushed her brown hair behind her ear.
He brought the cup up to her lips. "I'm sure we will find something for your hands. Soon." He promised nodding at the girl as she pursed her lips. He sighed.
"I'm gonna go for a walk," The girl said standing up. She stuck a shaky hand to the wall, using it as a balance. "Viktor," Flora said attracting her brother's attention. Viktor looked over at her.
"Yes, Flora?" He questioned bringing a crutch over to her as he held onto his. He looked down into her dark purple eyes. She was silent. Her lips parted slightly in frustration.
"Nevermind," She said turning and starting to limp slightly on her crutch as she put it under her hands.
The dark streets of Zaun kept the girl slightly hidden as she stayed in the shadows, avoiding any sign of trouble. Her eyes darted back and forth as she looked for her desired spot. She looked both ways before crossing the road as quickly as she could and making her way over to a park.
She sat down shakily before letting out a sigh of relief and laying down. Anywhere in Zaun wasn't very green, let alone comfy. Despite that, she managed to find a small patch of grass in the undercity. It was beside a sprouting tree, something rare, something pure.
Flora's eyes scanned the small tree as she ran her hands along the dying patch of grass beneath her. Her eyes shut for a moment, just a moment. Suddenly, everything was red, her ears were ringing, and there was a pain in her hips.
Flora groaned slightly as she attempted to sit up. She pushed up with all she could, her arms shaking as she did so. She sucked in a breath as she stood up, looking around. The ringing started to fade. Soon, it was replaced with explosions and screaming. Flora looked around desperately.
Her violet eyes searched for anything, any sign of her brother, any sign of safety. It was replaced with deep-red fog. Anything but safety. Suddenly, a piltover soldier appeared in front of her. She gasped and fell to the ground. The guard grabbed her.
Within seconds, before Flora could realize what was happening, she was thrown into a cage. She pleaded, begged, as she pushed on the bars of the cage, tears threatening to spill.
Eventually, they fell. They fell when she realized she wasn't getting their attention. Nothing would. They were doing a job. And nothing would stop them. Not even a crying child. Not even a thousand crying children. The girl's stare faded from the soldier in front of her to something moving to her right.
As she looked around she noticed something. Blue hair. Blue hair, curled up on the ground, shaking. The brunette's eyebrows furrowed as she turned to look at the girl.
Suddenly, a patch of pink appeared, wrapping their arms around the blue girl. They embraced each other before running from a soldier. Flora's hands shook as they wrapped tightly around the bars, watching.

*Flora pov*
My eyes slowly opened and blinked. Everything was dark but moving. I sat up, looking around. I was still in the cage. My breathing started picking up. There was a blanket over my cage. I put my shaky hands on the cage bars, listening.
