"I don't know why it keeps stalling on you," Jinx thought out loud as she worked on my hips.

"I think I'm not letting it sit long enough. Moving on too fast, you know?" I said tapping my fingers on my chest. I was laying on her table waiting for her to finish working on my hips.

"They're machines, doll. They don't need time to heal like humans" She said shoving a screwdriver in my mouth.

I let out a groan and bit down on the screwdriver as she drilled into my side. She pulled up her goggles and took the drool-covered screwdriver out of my mouth.

"There's no faults I can see. It just doesn't make sense" Jinx muttered as she moved over to my front as I sat up.

"Maybe it's not the machines... maybe it's me" I shrugged. She let out a laugh and spun away from me.

"But that would mean you're getting sicker. Silco said he fixed that problem. Like he fixes everything" Jinx chuckled. I stayed silent as I stepped off the table, turning and grabbing my shirt. Jinx slowly became quieter as I got dressed.

I turned around to be met with her staring straight at me. Her chest was moving up and down quickly, her eyes searching mine in desperation.

"You're not getting sicker... right?" She asked, worried. I swallowed and moved around her.

"I was thinking about going up to piltover. Talking to my brother. If I'm getting worse that means he is too. He's always been the smart one. He might have found a way to fix it" I admitted, wincing slightly as I stretched.

"I'll go with you" Jinx worried. I turned around, stopping her quickly.

"Silco needs you here. Weaponizing the hex tech. I'll be fine." I reminded. She furrowed her eyebrows.

"No, you won't. They'll tear you apart," She began, her voice cracking. I put my hand on her chest.

"Jinx..." I stated quietly. Her breathing picked up and she began pacing.

"What if the enforces catch you? Or- Or he reports you? Turns you in. What if-"

"That's a lot of 'if's, blue" I remained calm, using the wall to balance myself. "Would you rather I stayed... Slowly dying. Or I search for answers. Die fighting." I questioned. Her eyes scanned over me. She finally slowed her breathing and walked closer to me.

She rested her hand on my chest. "I can't lose anyone else" Her face became soft, churning slowly to sadness.

"You won't. I'll return. I promise" I said, squeezing her hand in mine. She looked up at me with glossy eyes and a crooked smile.

"You better" She retorted. I smiled and leaned down, kissing her softly.

"I thought you were dead," Viktor said. I could only see his back. He was looking out at a lake we used to play around as kids. I crept out of the shadows, sitting down beside him. I looked out at the lake.

"I could say the same for you" I responded. He looked over at me. I looked up at him. He looked much worse than me.

"It's like looking in a mirror" He mused. I let out a slight laugh.

"This mirror is doing much better than you," I said, throwing a rock into the lake below us. He laughed slightly.

"Where have you been, sister?" He asked. "And what happened to your accent? It's lost its touch" He questioned. I smiled slightly and fiddled with my fingers. I stood up and looked over at him.

"It's getting worse, Viktor. I can't fi... I can't move quickly without sharp pains. The nose bleeds are becoming more frequent. Not to mention the head rushes" I muttered, looking down at my hands. Viktor looked up at me.
