Playing with her fingers, a little girl stared at her mother who was searching for something.
Mummy ! ... ,, Mohini called her mother
Ciel was hurriedly packing a few documents into her bag as she hummed softly in reply
Her tiny black eyes shone brightly which resembles her father as stared at her mother and asked a question, "Why are we here?"
Ciel stood still and turned around to look at her daughter and then said , "We are here for an important job"
Mummy ! What about these papers? ... ,, Mohini asked her as her eyes were on CIEL's bag
"These are my documents. I will need them when I apply for the job in India" ... ,, Ciel answered truthfully to her and Mohini understood her mother's words clearly
She was ten years old and living in a small mountainous village in Himachal with her mother but both mother and daughter came to NY. It was a new experience for Mohini.
MOHINI came here for the first time and was amazed to see the small and warm house that was empty. So she asked her mother, "But Mummy whose house is this?"
Mohini was not aware of the past of her parents. CIEL's eyes welled up and she controlled herself and spoke serious tone, "This is the home where I lived with your father"
Mohini felt a wave of emotion in her heart as she whispered, "Oo!"
Her father was never there in her life. She only knew about his name. Mohini had never seen even a single picture of her. There was a sudden urge to see her father but she was scared to ask her mother about him. Her mother never disclose anything about him.
"Jagat Vishwam! My father lived with my mother here in this home in NY"
Mohini thought and craved these words in her mind.
"Mohini ! Hide yourself well"
Mohini's thought broken by the sudden desperate whispering voice of her mother. Mohini didn't know what happened but she hid herself under the bed and looked at her mother.
Ciel was scared and hurriedly locked the bedroom's door. She took a baseball stick and started to check upon the intruder. She heard light sounds coming from another side of the house.
