Chapter 2

Blake's Pov

I looked at the girl standing in front of me. She seemed pretty young. I think she was somewhere in her early twenties. Her audition was really good, but it's obvious she's still really nervous. Adam stood up and asked what was wrong with Usher and Shakira, since they didn't push their buttons. He's so cute when he gets confused. And so sexy... What am I saying? I'm married to Miranda. I can't, no, shouldn't be having those feelings for him. I snapped out of my thoughts and asked, "What's your name, darling?" She responded with, "I'm Ashley Clupperman, I'm 23 years old, and I'm from Oklahoma." I already thought I heard some kind of southern accent. I think Adam already felt like he had lost, because I'm from Oklahoma as well. I talked about how she was really good and she should pick me on her team. Then it was Adam's turn, but I didn't really listen to him. I was too distracted by how hot he looked. All of a sudden Usher said, "Who do you pick as your coach?" I don't know how it happened, but for some reason she picked Adam. Well, I get it, I would probably pick him as well. I mean, he's so handsome... Several more good artists came by, and also some bad ones and before I knew it, the show was over. It was really fun with Usher and Shakira, but for some reason Adam has been a bit distant. I decided to walk over him and ask him if he wanted to go out for a drink or something. I really wished he'd say yes, because I just love spending time with him. He's an amazing friend. I wish we were more than that though. After i asked him, he seemed kind of nervous. He answered, "Uhm I don't know Blake..."

"Why not?"

"I'm just busy... And stuff." That was obviously not the real reason. "Adam I know you're lying to me. What's going on? You've been so distant lately? Miranda's not home. We can just go to a bar or chill at my place or somethimg like that. Please?"

"Fine." Yes! I convinced him! I was so excited, but I simply said, "Where do you want to go?"

"I guess your place would be fine. We have to work tomorrow, I don't think going to a bar would be the best idea."
