Exactly one week ago...
"Young Master, it is time for you to wake up. You still need to go to school."
Cale groaned. He still wants to sleep because he was assigned as the research leader by their research teacher and he stayed up all night, revising their research paper, but this butler of his is a vicious one. One time, when he was still sleepy, the butler tried to make him drink lemonade.
Cale is pretty sure that his butler knows that he hates lemonade the most, but he's still making it for him. Cale doesn't know if his butler is doing it to piss him off or is genuinely worried for his health? Cale doubts the latter one because the first one is more believable.
Reminiscing on the dark past, Cale was forced to open his eyes and yawn just to be greeted by the sight of an old man, smiling benignly. Cale shuddered, no matter what life he is living, Ron is always a vicious individual. Cale has no choice but to follow this old man unless he wants to court death.
Cale stands up and looks at the clock on the table to check what time it is. He still has so much time left since he has a car on his own and he's quick to prepare himself. Cale walked to his deck, where he put his laptop to check if there were still mistakes to change in their research paper.
"Young master, after you finish that, you should go to the dining room to eat with your father." Ron reminded him while he fixed his bed. Cale nodded, and Row bowed before he left Cale's room.
After 5 minutes,
"The research paper is finally done." Cale sighed in relief. Cale saved the document before closing his laptop. Cale grabs the important things he has in his room, including his phone, so he won't need to go back to his room to get something. Cale left his room and put his things in his bag. After that, Cale directly goes to the dining room where his father is currently eating his breakfast.
He saw his father drinking coffee while reading a newspaper. Cale stared at his father while he thought of his past life. Because, unlike in his life before, his father, Deruth, didn't remarry someone. When he remembered his talk with his father when he was still a 10-year-old boy, his father spoke these words.
"Dad, will you remarry someone?" Deruth shook his head, and then he patted his son's head.
Deruth cast a glance at the photograph of the three of them placed on the table, which showed them smiling. "I'd like to focus more on my company and, of course, to take care of you just like what I promised to your mom," he caresses the part where his wife, Jour, smiles.
"I'll take care of our son, Jour, just like you wanted. We don't want our son to feel neglected because I'm feeling down here when it's our responsibility to make him feel loved. I wouldn't let you down, Jour. You can count on me when taking care of our child from now on." Deruth couldn't bear to think of marrying someone when his beloved, lovely wife passed away because of an incurable disease.
He looked towards his son, who looked exactly like his mother, and carried him. He swears to his heart that he will love and take care of his son. He smiled bitterly. He didn't want to make his beloved, lovely wife in heaven feel disappointed in him because he wasn't taking care of their son properly.
"Son, do you need anything?" Deruth noticed that Cale was staring at him. Cale was a little startled when his father asked him when he was in a state of remembering the past. Cale cleared his throat and nodded.
"Money," He's the son of the CEO of a well-known company worldwide. He has already decided to live his dream as a rich slacker, so he will live his life that way. Internally, Cale wants to cry in happiness because, finally, his desired rich slacker life will be happening!
