Pico x Nb!Reader💖[Sweet nothings]

As the light turns green, I step on the gas pedal to continue my way to my shared house with my gun loving ginger husband. We had moved in two years before we had gotten engaged, and that's three years since we've been married. I still wonder how I got so lucky with him.

I pull into the driveway of our house and turn off the car, swiftly exiting the car and walking towards the door, rummaging through my pockets for my keys. Once I find my keys, I stick the keys into the door and turn the key, unlocking the door in the process. I slip inside, and lock the door behind me.

I go into my room, only to find my husband, Pico, sitting on the foot of my bed, with candles everywhere.

"Hi babe" Pico greets

"P-Pico..What is all of this for?" Shock laced my voice.

It's been a while since we've done something like this, but this was unexpected. Candles and flower petals litter around the room, with fresh fruits and wine on the side tables. The room shades have been drawn down, basking the room in dim lighting. The look is complete with soft music in the background.

"I thought that since we haven't done anything like a date for so long, I could make a small romantic at-home date" He sheepishly laughs

"Oh Pico, you're so thoughtful!" I go forward and wrap my arms around him.

He breaks the hug and sweeps off a few of the flower petals, grasping my arm and pulling me down on top of him, slowly stroking my hair. He starts to hum along to the music, pitching his voice to make it sound better.

"I love you, and nothing can stop my love for you" He starts to sing random phrases that go with the beat.

"I want to fall asleep next to you, and to wake up next to you the next morning." He starts to rub my back in a calming matter, lulling me off to a sleepy state

"I wish nothing but happiness and love for the rest of your life" He finishes the song on a soft low note, then lowering his gaze to meet mine, which was fixed on his face the entire time.

"Can I have a kiss before you drift into sleep my dear?" He asks, a smile plastered on his face.

"Of course you can, my love" I replied in a teasing manner.

Pico sat up slightly, making me sit up along with him. He took my face in his hands, leaning in ever so slightly, placing his lips on mine for a tender kiss.

His lips were warm and soft, making it harder to not kiss for longer, but alas, air exists. We pull away, getting a full breath.

"Thank you" He said, after he had caught himself from falling backwards, but I pushed him slightly.

"Yep, your welcome, now lay back down so I can use you as a pillow" I grumble, clearly tired.

"Alright, alright, I'm going, I'm going" He laughs as he lays back down. He says one last thing before I drift off to sleep.

"Goodnight my love, and may your dreams be nothing but happy.."
