My weak knees ran towards a guy sitting in a bench.
He...looks like Lui, maybe a little makeup...he'll look like Lui.
Which made me think of an idea...since Lui is missing...why won't this guy pretend to be my...brother?
I sat beside the guy, he is sweating...maybe he played basketball in the...midnight? Well that's kinda weird.
"Hi!" I know, I know...don't talk to strangers...I'm just so stubborn.
"Hi?"
"Oh! Wait..."
I grabbed a tissue from my bag, and gave it to him.
"Thanks" He said
"What's your name?" I asked
"Xu Kai"
"Ohh...I'm Cheng Xiao"
I thought he'd recognize me, cuz our family is famous in our village. But he didn't utter a word.
"Well uh anyways..." I grabbed Lui's picture from my bag and let him see it, "have you seen this guy?"
I know it's kinda stupid showing Lui's picture to him when obviously they look the same.
"What the hell...that's me" Oh well...
"Mister it's not—" He cut me
"It's Xu Kai"
"I mean...Xu Kai, it's my brother. You look the same right?" I smiled and gave him a cute face, haha I look awful.
"What's with that face?" Oh wow...I thought he'd compliment my beauty but...
"I mean uh...you...and my uh...brother looks the same"
"So?"
"Will you...come with me?" Okay...this is very awkward...
"What?"
I looked at my watch and it's already 5:02, oh no...this is very bad. I need to go home before maids wake up and I'm not in my room, then they will report it to Mommy. This is very bad...
"Please! I need you to come with me—" I was cut when a flashlight lights up in our face.
"Ms. Cheng?" It's the village guard..."What are you doing here?" He added
"I uh...I was...we...I watched my brother play basket...ball..."
"At this hour?"
"Yeah uh...it's all Lui's idea...yeah...ball thingy...early in the morning..." Don't act suspicious...be neutral...
"Oh..."
"But he's done...we're about to go now"
I grabbed Xu Kai's hand, he's completely confused on what's happening.
"Wait" the guard stopped "it's still dark, let me escort you two home"
"Ah...sure..."

We got home just in time, maids are still sleeping. The guard is still awake but I made a excuse, cuz I'm the excuses queen.
"Are you out of your mind!?" He shouted
"Shh...don't be too loud" I'm in my room, but my room is not covered with a very thick walls. In just a shout, everyone outside can hear it.
"Me? You want me to pretend to be your brother?" Still shouting but not that loud.
"Please🙏🏻"
"No way...why did your brother ran away anyway?"
"Let me explain it this way...our Mother—" he cut me
"YOUR Mother" he emphasized the word Your.
"ChengXiao's Mother and ChengLui's MOTHER" I sound irritated, like seriously.
"Okay, better..."
"So...my Mother is coming home from States, and she'd be more than angry if she finds out Lui is missing"
"Why would she be angry?"
"My brother is her successor, you may not understand but I'm warning you..."
"Please...?" I asked
"Fine"
"Really!? Yay!!"
I didn't tell him about my brother's engagement with Ling, I know he wouldn't agree with it. But I'll just get there when it happens.
