~ADRIAN'S POV~

Pulling into RAW, I already had a pretty bad feeling. I couldn't tell why, but I was just a lot more...pessimistic coming in. I had re-watched the presentation of last weeks match, and noticed that with the editing, they didn't even treat me like I was anything special. It even seemed like they turned the crowd volume down for my entrance win, so I just felt...off.

I stepped out of my car and took a deep breath, looking around right away, only to see a young blonde woman in a wheelchair coming towards me. I couldn't help but smile at that, knowing exactly who she was.

"Adrian! I'm SOOO sorry I missed you last week! WWE's production is damn near 24/7! And we're not talking R-Truth!" She told me with her overly hyped-up voice, as I just shrugged a little bit.

"Eh, I made some friends last week anyway. It's fine." I told her, letting my unsure tone from my aforementioned thoughts leak into this talk with my sister, as my eyes wandered off to the side.

"Well, I'm glad! We all need friends in this world, otherwise we'll never get anywhere!" She told me, so I just nodded a little bit, knowing she was right to an extent.

As my eyes were wandering though, I saw Seth and Becky standing off to the side of the parking lot, talking, so I stared at them for a second, specifically Seth.

"Those two included." I gestured to them with my head, so my sister looked over at them and gasped a little, so I looked at her again.

"OOO! Seth should be a great friend for you! Indie guy, very all around style, almost Bullet Club-esque, you two seem like a shoe-in to be besties!" She explained to me, as I just chuckled a little bit, before I looked over at them again, seeing them both talking while staring right at me, which was...weird.

"They were really curious about my career last week. Especially Seth. He seemed almost...aggressive about it." I told her, looking back at her, while finally closing the door of my car. She just 'pft'ed a bit though, so I slightly raised my eyebrows at her, curious to her response.

"Come on, now you're just being nervous! They were probably just curious, like you said! Come on, I'll take you to Gorilla, your segment is first!" She told me with her hyper voice, so I immediately winced a little bit at her complete dismissal, but just...thought she had a solid point with the 'nervous' comment.

"Alright...sure." I told her, nodding a little bit. She chuckled a little bit, and I just walked beside her, as we both started heading to the Curtain.

"So, who else are you friends with?" She asked me, so I didn't even need to think about it.

"Oh, Sami." I told her with a little smile. She giggled a little bit, so I looked down at her curiously.

"Another indie guy! Looking for dogs of the same breed, huh!?" She asked me with another giggle, so I immediately furrowed my brows a little bit.

"Uh...I guess? They just came to me last week, really." I told her, not really sure about what she was saying about me. She hummed a little bit, and looked up at me again.

"So, I talked to Bronwyn the other day...so I wanna know. Why did you choose WWE over AEW?" She asked me, so knowing she spoke to Bronwyn, I...knew where the conversation was going.

"...why do you want to know that, Amelia?" I asked her, so she smirked a little bit. That smirk told me everything I needed to know about where the conversation was going to go.

"Come on Adrian, I wanna know! I mean, it's not like it's something unrealistic, you know? Like...I dunno, wanting to change WWE somehow?" She told me, throwing her hands up in exasperation. I sighed at that, looking off to the side in annoyance.
