~ADRIAN'S POV~
Needless to say, the picture Scarlett sent me last week is my new screensaver.
I pulled up at RAW again, already in my flame tights. I saw them in my apartment and just thought 'Get it done now, and you don't have to keep looking at them'.
I stepped out of the car with a light groan, gyrating my shoulders as I stood up straight. I didn't even know what I was doing for this episode of RAW, but I was told to have my gear at the ready.
As I was stretching my shoulders, I heard the familiar sound of my sister's wheelchair. I opened my eyes to look at her, only to see her slightly panicked.
"Mason! MASON!!" She shouted out to me, so I rolled my eyes a bit. The fact my own sister was calling me by the wrong name was more than a little insulting. But I just copped it on the chin and watched as she wheeled up.
"Mason, for fuck sake! Where have you been!?" She shouted at me, starting to get angry. I was really confused at that, only seeing a couple of stars around so far, meaning I was...early, but she was treating me like I was late...weird.
"Uh...sorry, I just pulled up." I told her, gesturing to the car in my genuine confusion. She groaned though, shaking her head.
"Vince said he called you, to come in earlier! Where the fuck were you!?" She asked me, now livid. I was even more confused, because...well...
"Wha...Amelia, I never got a call. Not from Vince." I told her, still confused. She groaned and gestured for my phone.
"Come on. Give it. You must have gotten a call from him this morning, he said he called you, and I believe him. So, give it." She told me, still gesturing for my phone. That only served to confuse me even more, not to mention frustrate me.
"Amelia, I'm not giving you my phone. He didn't call me." Was all I told her, not even reaching for my phone.
"I don't believe you Mason. Now give me your fucking-" She started at me, trying to wheel closer to me and grab my phone from my pocket. But I did something I...always hated to do with her.
I stuck my foot up a little, to stop her wheelchair moving toward me. As soon as she felt the footrest collide with my foot, she immediately looked up at me in shock.
"Amy, I'm serious. I didn't get at all today. If I did, I would have been here, you know that." I told her, trying to sound as calm as I could. She was clearly extremely mad as well, so I stepped away a bit, still staring at her.
"And my name is Adrian." I told her, letting my anger show in almost a hiss-like tone. I started walking away from her, but then she stammered something to me.
"M-Mr McMahon s-s-said..." She started, so I groaned a bit with an eyeroll, turning around to look at her again. I fully expected her to say 'He said he called you' or something.
"He said...you have no...no talent...no...no Fire..." She told me, looking over at me in slight shock. That surprised me as well, so I turned to face her, not sure what to make of it.
"He said there was nothing special about you...nothing of note...he said your performances in the matches were just lazy, and..." She told me quietly, trailing off at the end. I stepped back towards her, waiting for her to finish.
"...and that...you would never even be 24/7 Champion..." She told me, quietly again. I...couldn't help but just freeze on the spot when she said that. I felt terrible, but I didn't know how to show it. So, I responded in the only way I thought I could.
"...And what do you think?" I asked her quietly, looking right at her. She looked down at her lap and thought.
"...I...see you have fire...I know you're talented...I just...I don't know Adrian..." She told me in discomfort, rubbing the back of her head. I sighed a little and walked over, putting my hand on hers on her armrest, which made her look up at me.
