In the Noman Solar System, past the asteroid belt sits one of the largest planets in the system. Jupiter, a planet made entirely up of gas with a big red spot. Jupiter is unique to its system and that's because the way they select their avatars is as old as it can get. Instead of one avatar being created then soon after dubbed the new avatar, a thousand avatars are made and forced to compete against each other in several endurance, intelligence, speed, and strength challenges.
The endurance challenge is where the avatars go through 90 rooms, each room steadily increasing in damage. Most avatars can get through the first 40 but the last 50 rooms are what sort out the durable from the glass, the way they are graded is simple as they are labeled with the room number they ended on. Intelligence is the day after endurance and what the challengers have to do is simple, they are put into hypothetical situations where they must make a choice that leaves them and the public safe. This sounds easy but when the higher ups grade their choice, they are ignoring the challengers durability score as it makes it easier to grade it that way.
Speed is the next one and it's a week after intelligence as the speed trial takes time to prepare. In the speed trial all contestants start at the core of Jupiter and what they need to do is get from the core to the surface with flying massive chunks of rock and debris being thrown in as to serve as obstacles for the challengers. The last trial is strength and if the last three haven't shown it already, the Jupiter avatars are warriors. Brutes with impeccable strength and capable of stopping meteors the size of India with their bare hands.
The strength trial is a fight to the death between the remaining warriors and takes place two whole weeks after the speed trial, the remaining warriors are put into a gladiatorial ring with one weapon of their choosing in a free-for-all fight. Whoever is left standing is the new avatar of Jupiter and the newest avatar for Jupiter stood proud, standing on top of the contestants he slaughtered.
His name is "Tosi" (pronounced Toe-see). He passed all of the trials with flying debris (Jupiter version of "flying colors"), scoring a 90 on durability, getting a 90% on intelligence, and making first place in speed. Tosi has a gift most Jupiter avatars don't get often, a third eye on the back of his head. More specifically, an eye meant to represent Jupiter's red spot. A red eye that allows him to see from behind. This eye was allowed of course as there have been avatar contestants who have had this same gift, Tosi's weapon of choice however is the War hammer. A heavy weapon that deals massive damage and he held that beast with one hand no sweat.
Tosi was granted the title of avatar, being put into the history books of Jupiter. He stood on the gas of his planet with his people standing behind him, the people of Jupiter and their avatars can stand on the gas of the planet. Other avatars can do this and people of Saturn can do this too, the difference being that they can stand on the rings of Saturn whilst the Jupiter people cannot. So as Tosi stands on his planet with his people, staring into the stars. He gets the gut feeling that his reign as avatar is only the beginning.
