Charli and chase: the two biggest enemies that this town had even known.
Growing up together, they never get along, their parents are best friends, and always wanted them to get along but somehow they never did.
Chase and Charli were both so opposite.
Charli was always calm, adorable, everyone's favorite, funny, nice, quite popular but no too much, smart, and talented. Everyone's girl dream.
Chase was always rude, agitated, angry, none could stand him, the bad/fuck boy high school, (very) popular, known by everyone but not for the good reason, failing school, captain of their soccer team, and un respectful.
when they were kids, chase would always annoy Charli, cutting her Barbie's hair or head, cutting her princess dress, messing up her prettiest draw, stealing her fav toys.
Charli never really did anything bad to chase, they grownups hating each other.
when they arrived in middle school charli's hate for chase growns up even more.
chase started annoying Charli even at school, making jokes to her for making laught his friends, he would criticize her hair because they are too long, her eyes because "they are too dark I can't even see if there's a eye pupil", he would comment how "she had so much freckles than we can barley see her face", and every of these jokes that made Charli even more unsecured every days.
he would spill some water on her during lunch in summer to make laught the soccer team in high school, and he would tease her by not giving her her book that she forgot at his house, because she would basically always be at his or he would be at hers after school with their parents and she would study here and forget some stuff.
she hated him and his perfect blue eyes and dark blonde hair, her friends would always simp for him but only her knew how horrible chase was.
High school.
Where everything changed, in senior year.
the night at chase's big sister, Marlena, weeding.
Chase and Charli were forced by their parents to be each other's date for this day.
It was the only day where chase couldn't annoy Charli due of the amount of people at the place.
So they had to actually talk and chat because they were the only teenagers of the weeding.

We were boring, the two of us at our table watching the adults dancing, I hate the fact that we are the only teens here. I look at my right to see Charli watching the dance floor as the slow song was playing, her brown chocolate eyes and freckles shining due of the blue light in the room.
i took the wine bottle and spill some in my glass and drink it, I fill an other glass, "Hey", I said, she turn around to look at me and i hand her the glass, "wanna taste?" I proposed, "what did you put in this?", she asked and I chuckle, "it's wine, do you really think that I would want to poison you at my sister's weeding?", she roll her eyes and take the glass and drink it, she fill an other glass of wine and drink it, "hey go slow on the wine", she ignore me and keep drinking.
a few minutes later she was getting high and i take the bottle and glass away from her, "hey you gotta stop with this you're high" i said, "chase give me this I'm not fucking playing !", she said loudly which draw her mother's attention. "chase what's going on?", Heidi asked walking up to them, "ho nothing she just drank a little bite of wine", i said, "gosh chase you always get her in trouble !", "i didn't do anything !", "just take her to her hotel room and don't leave her alone until we come back", she give me the keys of the hotel room, i nod and leave with Charli to her room.
"Are you too high to get undressed or do I have to do it myself ?" I asked and she groan "ew no you pervert i can do it myself", she went in her bathroom and i chuckle.
when she came out she went in the bed and went under the blanket.
I sit on the chair in front the bed and she say "you can come in the bed, I bet you're tired", "I don't think sober Charli would say this", I chuckle, "I don't care, just come if you want", I sight and went in the bed, I knew she was going to hate me even more the next morning but I don't wanted to sleep on a chair.
i lay on my side facing her back, she turns around and put her head on my chest, I look down at her and she push herself further against me, I should've hate this moment or be uncomfortable but somehow I wasn't, I was comfortable.

After this night, chase couldn't stop thinking of this weird feeling he felt at the moment she cuddled in his chest, and most of all, he couldn't stop think of her, or neither take his eyes off of her, he even stopped bothering her.
everything he used to hate about her started being his favorite things about her, or he never really hated these things at all?
one night during a hot summer night the Hudson and d'amelio family had a family dinner at the D'Amelios, Charli and chase went outside to watch the star as they were digesting.

we were laying in the grass with only the lamp being a light, watching the stars.
these past months chase have been acting differently with me, first of all he stopped bothering me, this is extremely weird, chase Hudson would never stop annoying me, then he actually wanted to spend time with me or let me help him with his work, his parents always wanted me to help him with this but he never let me.
I was Staring at the beautiful sky when I look next to me to see chase with his eyes closed and his hands on his stomach, "ow I shouldn't have take this second dessert I will never be able to digest this", he complain and I chuckle, "I knew you were going to be sick after this second piece of pie", "you could have told me to stop", he groan, "do you honestly think you would have listen to me?", he look at me and chuckl, "you're right, I wouldn't", I laught.
"Hey I've got a question", I said after a few minutes of silence, "go on", he said with his eyes close, "why did you start to be nice to me suddenly ?", he look at me and I look in his blue ocean eyes that I hate so much, "I don't know, I guess people change", "it's about time for you to change", I said and he chuckle, "why have you always be a real bitch to me your entire life, I never did anything bad to you?", he look at the sky and bite his lips before answering a few seconds after, "I don't know, I always hated you because you were so perfect, everyone loves you, you've always been the perfect child, my parents always said that they wanted a child as perfect as you, and i hated you so much for this.", "and ? This is not my fault chase?! i can't control who I am, what people think of me, do you even know in what you had put me thought these whole years?", he look at me with a look I never saw on him, a look of regret, of pity, "all these joke you made on me in middle school, making fun of me and my apparence just to make laught your stupid friends, do you even imagine how you made me insecure about my physique and my body?! How many therapy i had to go through because of the son of my parents's best friends, we could have been friends like our parents but you never let me the chance.", at this point I was made and upset, tears of angers were building in my eyes, "Charli, I'm so sorry, i never thought about this, i never meant to hurt you- I mean yeah sorta but I never wanted you to be insecure, and if I'm being honest you're the prettiest girl I've ever seen, everything that I said on you were so fake, your eyes are so beautiful and shine so easily and it's so beautiful, your freckles and your nose are so pretty and cute, i never meant anything i said.", "do you honestly mean this?", i ask, "i think it's the only thing I ever told you that I mean", he chuckle and I smile.
this night was probably the best night I ever had, the moment were we reconciled, chase stayed over this night and we talked about everything and nothing this night, I wish this night could never stop.

The story of Charli and chase were mostly a enemy to lover, day by day they became closer and learned about each other and slowly fall in love, when they told their parents that they were dating in end of senior year it was definitely the best day of their life, it was what they always wanted, their kids in good terms. Charli and chase went in college together at Harvard, a few years after they finished school and started working, they moved in together in a the center of LA, they then got married at 26 years old and started a family at the age of 27.
of course they got in some fight but now they are the happiest married couple with kids, they were meant to be.
