Warrior Cats: Torn Apart (Brambleclaw/Squirrelflight/Ashfur)

Chapter 2- Mistakes

Squirrelflight padded through the forest, green eyes wandering the dark shadows that cast down onto them.
"So what's this about Hawkfrost?" Ashfur spoke up. Squirrelflight bristled.
"It's just-- Ugh!" She came to a halt, stamping her single white paw onto the ground. "It's Brambleclaw! I've told him that his brother is bad news. He has the same dark ambition that Tigerstar had, and he doesn't want to believe me!" She met Ashfur's handsome face, "Leafpool saw him intimidating Mothwing, his own sister! Not to mention how he talks about running other clans out of their homes and criticising Mistyfoot at every turn. She's his deputy for StarClan's sake!"
Ashfur stepped forward, resting his long, thick, tail on Squirrelflight's shoulder. "I can see how much this upsets you." The spotted gray tom murmured. "What does Brambleclaw say when you tell him all of this?"
"He tells me I'm being rabbit-brained, and that I should mind my own business." Squirrelflight's head hung defeatedly. "I know he's his brother, and I couldn't imagine a life where I was separated from my sister; but don't I matter to him too? Why is he letting this come between us?"
"Maybe he doesn't value as much." Ashfur replied, quickly clarifying when Squirrelflight's expression was struck with sadness. "I'm sure he loves you, but if it isn't as much as you want, is it really worth it?"
"I guess not." She mumbled, kicking the dirt.
Ashfur slunk forward, touching his nose to her cheek. She could feel his long, wiry whiskers brushing against her pelt. "I wouldn't treat you like that, Squirrelflight." He whispered into her ear hotly. Squirrelflight felt her heart skip a beat.
"...We'd... Better go back to camp." She answered, turning away bashfully. Ashfur looked disappointed but nodded. 
The two strode back to camp, tails twined together.
