Aubrey and Beca's relationship wasn't meant to be kept a secret for so long, but it was. It was nice though.

At first, Aubrey thought the little brunette was an aggressive alt girl with her ear monstrosities and black clothing that infuriated her to no end.

The brunette had a terrible attitude and always seemed to try and get under the blonde captains skin, always going against what Aubrey said.

Aubrey just wanted to strangle her sometimes.

Beca thought the same. She looked at the captain as a stuck up, rich, blonde girl that had a stick so far up her ass she was surprised that it wasn't coming up her throat.

She liked to argue with her.

Though, she thought she was hot. Especially when she got angry, and that's why she likes to rile her up.

It was like a back and forth game between them.

They would always say just the littlest things to piss each other off and get into a debate.

Sometimes Beca would say something right at the end of Bellas rehearsal, Aubrey would dismiss the rest of the girls and ask Beca to hang back. Beca did it just so she could spend more time with the blonde.

Eventually, Beca started to grow on Aubrey, but the little brunette still irritated the blonde.

One time after rehearsal and Beca stayed back, she asked Aubrey if she could listen to something she's been working on.

"Come on, Aubrey. Loosen the stick a bit," Beca huffed as she sat down at the piano and looked towards the captain who had a scowl on her face.

"We are not doing whatever dumb songs you want." Beca rolled her eyes at the reply and sighed.

"I know. I just want to show you. Would you just lighten up and listen, please? It'll only take two minutes, tops," she promised the blonde. Aubrey's eyes softened slightly after Beca turned back around to face the piano. She sighed and walked over towards the silky black instrument and leaned against it.

"What is it?"

As Beca's hands glided over the keys with ease, Aubrey watched with interest, having not heard her ever play before. The blonde's ears perked up as she heard the familiar tune.

Aubrey walked around the instrument and sat down on the bench with Beca. The brunette was surprised, but made her room as she continued to play.

She was even more surprised when Aubrey's hands landed on the keys and started playing along with her.

Beca practically beamed and when Aubrey had looked over to see that smile, she swears her heart fluttered.

Beca's smile turned into a smirk as she formulated a new plan in her mind. She tilted her head from side to side as she came up with the song and then she started to play a different one.

Aubrey faltered a bit, not expected a change, but Beca nodded her head to encourage her.

"Keep going."

Aubrey did. Her ears rang with pleasure when Beca's alto voice hopped in.

She listened to the brunette intently and then started singing the song that she herself was playing.

When Aubrey heard Beca slow down her playing and her singing come to a stop, Aubrey followed.

The blonde cleared her throat after a minute of silence and Beca spoke before she could.
