"Beca! If you don't get off your ass and get ready, I swear to god!" Aubrey yelled down the hall to Beca who was sat in the living room, doing mixes.
They were going to meet up with the Bellas at Chloe's newly bought house. It was nearly the Fourth of July, but they really celebrate it. They just used it as an excuse to cook burgers and hotdogs and eat a lot of junk and to explode things, Fat Amy and Lily's favorite part.
They were leaving in half an hour and Beca still hasn't started to get ready.
Aubrey was in their room, trying to pick out what shoes to wear and if she should wear a necklace or not, but she couldn't decide.
The blonde felt arms around her waist, Beca's breath against her ear and she sighed.
"Calm down, baby. I don't take as long to get ready as you. I just need to throw on a pain of jeans and a shirt, okay? We're fine," she reassured her. "I bet we'd even have time for a quickie," she tried to lighten the mood, but Aubrey just rolled her eyes, turning around in her Beca's arms.
"I don't like being late."
"I know, I know. I'll go get ready now."
"Thank you." Aubrey kissed her cheek and turned back around, trying to decide on the shows.
"Go with those ones." Beca pointed to a pair and Aubrey looked at them, nodding, liking the choice.
"Thanks, love." Beca tapped her ass on her way to the closet, she just grabbed a nice pair of jeans and a nice shirt.
She left the closet and seen Aubrey standing by the bed on her phone. Beca tackled her onto it, causing Aubrey to screech.
"Smile a bit, Bree. There's no need to stress. We're just going to hang out with the Bellas. It'll be like every other time we're with them."
"This time we're going together though," she mumbled into Beca's neck, that she was now cuddled into.
"Are you embarrassed to be dating me?" Beca asked, half teasing. Aubrey's head shot up at the question, almost hitting Beca's chin in the process.
"No! Of course not. It will just be different. I feel like it'll just be weird at first, and I may forget that we're public now and be like how we used to be or something." Beca ran her hand up and down Aubrey's arm and side.
"Well, I'm going to be there to remind you that we are public. We're gonna be doing all the PDA," Beca smirked and Aubrey shook her head.
"No."
"Rude. I still can't kiss you in public now?"
"No, you can. Just not a lot, got it?" Beca chuckled, saluting her.
"You got it, cap'." Aubrey rolled her eyes at her girlfriend, but smiled into her neck nonetheless. She breathed her in, humming softly at the feeling of Beca's hands on her skin.
"We leave in twenty," she reminded her and Beca nodded.
"Yeah, yeah," she mumbled. She closed her eyes just to rest them, same as Aubrey, just taking each other in and falling into the comfiness and warmth.
Next thing they know, they're jumping up to Aubrey's ringtone.
"Shit!" Aubrey exclaimed. "We're half an hour late." Beca didn't really care too much, but she could see the anxiousness written all over the blonde's face as she raced around the room, checking for everything.
As Beca climbed into the drivers seat, Aubrey in the passenger, the blonde checked to make sure she had the pasta salad for the party and told Beca to drive.
