We all rested in the green room area and waited for others to finish their parts on stage. Popee laid down next to me and rested his head against my shoulder. He felt hot and lifeless after being on stage. I quickly grabbed a glass of cold water and handed it to him.
"Thanks N/n, you know how to read me."
"Yeah I totally didn't hear you panting." I sarcastically said.
He snorted and grabbed the drink off my hands. He started to drink from the glass aggressively. It poured on his costume a little bit.
"Woah! Come down, no one ain't stealing that water from you." I said pulling the glass downwards a little to prevent any more spills.
"Agh. It's water so what." Popee sighed and placed his glass down. Still panting he took off his bunny hat and set the hat to the side.
I grinned and partly parts his blonde locks.
"I think your bangs got messed up while performing. You did amazing by the way."
Popee blushes and pushes my hand way. "You can't say that. Only when we are alone..."
My eyes widened and looked over the room to see the other performers who were either trying to be quiet or playing some games. Only Kedamono and papi knows we are dating, so I'm guessing Popee is embarrassed to show any affection in public. I smirked at Popee and nodded.
"Do they not know?"
"No. That's why I'm telling you to shut up." Popee tone was quiet but also sounded very angry.
"How about we go somewhere where we are alone?"
"I... I would like that."
I smiled and took popee's hand and sneakily ran away from the green room. We left from the back door and I took us to one of the tower. Little far from the actual circus. We sat down on the edge of the open windows and stared off into the moon.
There was a long comfortable silence until Popee spoke up.
"I'm very proud of you, you know that?"
"Mh?"
"You ran away from your careless mother and ended up here. Our start was a little rusty but that's what lead up to this moment. I'm satisfied with the outcome of all of this, hopefully you are too." He wrapped his arm around my waist and inched closer. He rested his head on my shoulder like how he did back in the green room and sighed.
"Words can't explain my love for you."
I lifted him off my shoulder and immediately clicked lips. I locked my hand on his hand as we kissed. We keep locking lips until I stopped for a second.
"...Who told you to stop?" Popee says and kisses me again.
I was a little surprised but kept kissing. I smiled into the kiss as I warped my arms around his neck. After some seconds we pulled away, panting a little bit.
"This side of you always gets me." I said giggling.
"Haha... Get used to it soon then." Popee chucked and left go of his arms. I kept clinging onto him but he didn't push me away but instead dropped his head a little bit.
