YOU LOOK AT AIZAWA AND BACK

down at your phone, this was the right location. Your killer knows about Aizawa and possibly his whereabouts. He knew yours.

y/n
what is this supposed to mean?
she could be a friend.

UNKNOWN
Call him and find out.
Let's see how faithful your
dirty cop is.

y/n
screw you.

UNKNOWN
You're welcome.
Have a nice night.

You wanted to throw your phone at the ground but you had something to do. You lean against the side of the building where no one could see you and called Aizawa. It only rang two times before he answered. "Hello?"

"Aizawa, hi." you say as confidently as you could although your nerves were quickly taking over. "I'm sorry to call you late, are you at work?" you ask.

"I just got here. Are you ok?" he asks back.

You peeked over the corner and saw him right there at the table, the waiter was placing down a large piece of cake in between the two with a candle in the middle. "I am, I just miss you." you continue to watch the mystery woman get some cake on the fork and offer it to Aizawa's mouth to which he shakes his head and she gives him a pout.

"I do too, a lot."

Aizawa always expressed his want for you and now he was nonchalant about it. You frowned and walked to the window once again, no one noticed you thankfully and you stared at Aizawa. The woman ate the cake by herself and Aizawa puts the card down for the bill. Maybe this was a date. You also notice something that stung you more than it should have. "You took your sweater back." you mumble before you could catch yourself.

Aizawa looks down at his sweater, "I did... how did you know?" he asks.

Tears brim your waterline but you take a deep breath, "Because I'm about ten feet away from you." you hang up after that and when he looks to his left, his eyes meet yours. Before he has a chance to get up you run, not ready to speak to him as your feelings were very hurt at the moment. You needed to calm down and have a clear mind. The woman looked to be Aizawa's age, maybe a smidge younger. You were so much younger than Aizawa and it made you worry that he would see you as a child, not a woman.

Your phone vibrates with calls and texts from Aizawa but you don't stop running until your legs were begging you to slow down. You've never knew of someone telling you a lie and for it to be from Aizawa was unexpected. After slowing down you look around and find a bench to sit on then pull your phone out.

You ignore Aizawa's notifications and call Kat.

"Hey, y/n, what's up?" she asks.

"I'm kind of lost and I need a ride home."

"I'm at work but send the location and Keigo will pick you up."

Your eyes widen at the mention of Keigo and you quickly shake your head, "No, that's ok —"

"Send the pin and he's on the way. I just got another table. Bye, I love you."

She hangs up before you could respond and you eventually send your location. With that taken care of you look at Aizawa's text messages.

aizawa
Please, pick up the phone.
It was definitely not what it
looked like. Answer the phone so
I can explain.
Baby, please.

Before you could answer him, headlights flashed and you looked up to Keigo waving you over. You place your phone in your bag and get into his car. The air was on and soft music played. "What were you doing over here?" he asks after a few seconds.

"I.. run." you decide to say and smile when he looks at you.

"You run?" he questions and you nod. "Me too. We should go running together." his elbow bumps yours. Usually you would have butterflies in your stomach from that suggestion but now it didn't excite you as much.

"Maybe." you say and watch the road ahead of you. "Thank you, for picking me up."

Keigo laughs, "Of course, Kat would have my head if I left you there stranded." you laugh at that because it was very much true. "Haven't seen her a lot these days." he switches the subject.

"Me neither." you couldn't remember the last time you two spent time together outside of work. She was definitely busy with something or someone. "She seems better thought, about the attack." Ket never mentioned it or cried about it, at least in public.

"Yeah, she is." her brother confirms.

"How are you feeling.. about it?" you didn't know how he would react since it's also been a while since you've seen Keigo.

"I was scared but we reported it and that's all you can do."

You nodded, you needed to tell him that the killer will be back next year to get Kat again and you might not be here to save her again. You hated keeping this much information to yourself but you weren't sure who to trust, you didn't even trust Aizawa at the moment.

He parks in front of your apartment building and you open your lips to spill it all but then he speaks again. "It sucks that there's nearly no way of finding out who did it. There were so many people at that party."

You undo your seat belt, "But if you would save other people wouldn't you want to at least try?" you ask.

"I doubt they'll be back again."

"Sure." you wanted to laugh in his face but refrain from doing so and get out of his car instead. "Thanks for the ride Keigo, have a nice night."

"Good night y/n." he waits until you're inside the building to leave. With tired steps you walk down your hallway and into your apartment.

Willow lays next to you in bed and you hear your phone vibrate on your side table. You blinding reach for it and answer, "Hello?" you mumble sleepily.

"y/n, you answered." Aizawa's voice comes from the other side, it was like splashing you with cold water.

"Aizawa —"

"Shota." he corrects.

"Aizawa, you lied to me. I can't forgive that in a few hours. How am I supposed to believe anything you say right now?" you question in a whisper, wanting to sleep and forget about this.

"I'm sorry I lied but it was only for your benefit."

You let out a laugh, "Ok, thank you for lying to me?" you question and let out a sigh, "I'm tired, I ran like a track star tonight. I'll talk to you later."

"Wait." he says when you pull the phone away to hang up, you put it back. "When is later?"

"I don't know, later." you hang up and toss the phone back to fall back asleep. Your phone vibrates again and again but you don't check it, falling asleep instead.
