Here are a few things you may want to know before you get started.
The Forgotten Dream is a trilogy. Birth of a Wishing Heart (BOWH) is the first book in the series.
This book is designed to bring out deep thought about adult concepts such as mortality and morality while keeping a fairytale and child-like theme. The key to really enjoy this book is to remember that every good story hints at truth.
While you re-explore things you loved as a child like princesses, superheroes, and fairytales ask yourself
Does innocence and free will exist?
What is the exact curse and gift of humanity?
And what do fear and pain turn into after it's forgotten?
While you read, try to find your truths in between the fantasy. _________________
Warnings and notes
It's also worthy to note that while this story starts off light it does become darker and gorier as the story progresses. So please be aware of this.
Each chapter includes a photo, artwork, or song to set the scene. Some photos may be disturbing to some viewers as they can portray famine or death.
The story takes place in a village on the border of countries resembling Italy and France. There are a few phrases and words that characters do say in French and Italian.
