Being the fraternal twin of one Finn Hudson is harder than people would ever think. He's the golden boy, the stereotypical American small town high school quarterback. He has the girl, the friends, the looks and charm, and the popularity. Finn Hudson has it all. Foster is the complete opposite of her brother. She's socially awkward, single, selective of friends, and one a thin line balancing between a loser or being popular as the girls hockey captain. Finn and Foster have had a rocky road. Always competing to be the best when they were younger to gain the attention of their single mother, until Foster grew tired of it— falling more into the shadows.

She believes she's the Broken Hudson. Anxiety, depression, self hate nearly control her mind; born into a body she hates, doesn't completely understand and having attraction to girls is just the tip of the iceberg that is Foster's mind. Music is the Hudson's escape along with skateboarding and playing hockey. When Foster is on the ice it's the one time she feels like she belongs.

Foster doesn't agree with how Finn acts once he is one the football team, how he treats and speaks to others just to fit in. Foster is highly against bullying, will take her own licks but stand up for others in a heartbeat. Foster is not afraid of violence and will fight with words or physically for the ones she loves. Even if the one she's against is stronger or bigger.

As sophomore year beginnings Foster decides to step up and start the journey of self discovery. With the help of the most unexpected best friend in her corner, Foster has hope for the first time. The journey won't be smooth; bullies, high school hierarchy, relationships being tested, hitting rock bottom before the light, and finding unconditional love from someone she never expected.
