When you wake up the next morning you expect to be in your own room back on your island, like always. It takes you a moment to remember you're on Whole Cake Island, and you're probably never going home again. This is your home now. You turn your head towards the sunlight, there's a window on your right and the curtains are open. You blink in the light, stretch and groan. You rub your sleepy eyes. The feeling of this morning is different then the ones you're used to. It's so noisy. You're not the kind of princess that wakes up singing with the flowers and the trees. You missed the quiet mornings of your island. What was that thing they say? The one about grass being greener on the other side? Still, at least here, you've never been denied dinner because of some catty remark you'd made. Not yet at least. You'd had multiple people killed and you've been threatened to be speared. You'd also been spanked. But you thoroughly enjoyed that last bit...

"Came to check on you!" Brûlée tells you through a mirror on your wall. "Oh!" You rub your eyes again, thinking that's odd. Was she waiting for you to wake up this whole time? "Thank you, that's... so thoughtful. I haven't even gotten dressed yet." You try to sound princessly, kind, gracious, but you're not yet awake. You wrap the blankets tighter around your bare chest. Brûlée blushes, "Sorry Sis. Maybe I'll leave you some breakfast and let you do that." Breakfast? That's so sweet! "Oh thank you!" You exclaim as she comes into the room and lays a tray on your bed. "I do enjoy a cup of tea in the morning!" You eagerly grab the cup to taste the warm liquid, expecting the welcoming bitterness of black tea but it's sweet. "Oh, it's hot cocoa! Not tea!" Brûlée tells you, "You liked it so much yesterday, I just thought..." You smile, "no it's perfect! Thank you so much for thinking about me!" Brûlée smiles again, "You're welcome, Little Sis." Then she disappears through the mirror before you can ask what's happening today. You sigh. No privacy. Lots of surprises. Two things that never happened back on your island.

There's a knock on your door. "Can I come in?" you hear Katakuri's voice from the other side. "Oh, Katakuri, hold on.. I'm..." Before you can finish saying 'not dressed,' he opens the door. You straighten up in bed startled that he's in your room without your permission. You feel a cool breeze on your chest, you remember you're naked. You blush and pull up the covers. Katakuri blushes too, "I'm sorry." You clutch the blankets close to your chest, "there aren't any pajamas in the closet. And you should know I was naked, you can see into the future!" Which meant he knew and came in anyway... "Why are you in my room?" You say, growing increasingly annoyed by the second. You now see, at the foot of the bed, a huge red armchair and matching foot rest that wasn't there last night.

"Did you sleep here last night, in that chair?" You nod at the chair in question. "I did, yes. I would have pajamas brought in but there's no point, you're not staying here. Plans changed, we're leaving, get dressed," he says. Well.. good morning to you too, Katakuri, you think. That's a lot to take in at once and you're NOT a morning person. "Why did you sleep in my room without my permission?" You ask. "For your protection, I don't need your permission," he says easily. You scoff, clearly, the way he barged into your room, you gathered as much. "What time is it?" You whine. He closes the bedroom door, "We don't have time for this. Get dressed." You drink more hot cocoa and stuff a piece of buttery toast into your mouth.. It's brioche! "Mmm I love brioche! It's my favorite!" He looks bothered that you haven't followed his orders. You bet he wasn't used to that either. Things Katakuri Doesn't Like: being interrupted and not taken seriously; noted.
