Now, this is a place where complicated relationships take place. One fighting for one another. Who will end up with who? I present to you....Black petals.
Jay hummed as he brought Sunoo to a dog cafe, Joy life. It was newly opened and Jay has always wanted to go. Hence, he was glad to have a chance to relax and enjoy himself with a close friend. However, throughout the entire journey, it was purely silence. It became tenser in every second. And a word could easily blast the tension out, all at once. Like a balloon. Hence, Jay decided to muster up his courage and cleared his throat, catching Sunoo's attention.
"I wanted to ask you about yesterday."
Sunoo looks at him, mildly suprised about what he was going to ask. I guess it was unevitable.
"You and heeseung... That was just an accident, right?"
Jay continued, with a sleek frown on his face.
"It was never meant to... be like that. I got drunk and.. it just happened?"
"Ugh. So, you are saying it JUST magically happens? You just accidentally make out!?... "
"Okay, I'm sorry I made out with him in your bedroom, alright?"
Sunoo replied with real sincerity in his tone. He was a sincere person, and Jay knew that. But because of his sincerity, it was harder to shake off the incident. Jay took a long breath, every nerve in him stretched to say the words of...
"You're forgiven.."
"Today we should just pet cute dogs and have fun. Alright?"
"Fine.." he stretched out the 'I'. Sunoo gave a weak smile to the moody Jay.
Once they were at the dog cafe, Jay showed the cashier their bookings. Sunoo leaned his head to the side, peeking inside through the glass door to see the adorable furries he could pet. Gleeing with brightness, he saw parts of furry tails, excited pattering friends and adorable doll eyes. He just adored them the moment he had his eyes on them. It was like love at first sight.
As they both sat down at one of the smooth edged tables, Sunoo had placed his phone at his side. He had his phone lighted up, most likely from a notification. He skimmed through the letters, picking out the words...'Heeseung'.
"HAH!" He flipped the phone over to have its case facing upwards. Sunoo tried to calm himself down and push out any incoming thoughts about last night.
"What's wrong?" Jay questioned Sunoo's mysterious behavior.
"I was just laughing at this dog." Sunoo replied as he pointed at a random dog. The dog was a Siberian Husky. Lushious white and grey coat, and elegant figure. The husky went closer to Sunoo, who was panting excitedly.
"I don't have any treats for you!"
Sunoo whose embarassed from his sudden uproar, got out of his seat to pet the dog.
Jay continued to stare at Sunoo's sudden nervous composure.
'Has Heeseung talked to you about what happened last night?'
Sunoo stopped in his tracks to think.
'No, I'll talk to Heeseung.'
'I'm sorry for walking on you two last night.'
'Is okay, I forgive you. It was not your fault anyway.'
'However....' Jay droned on, emphasising with dramatic pausing.
'Do you like Heeseung?'
Sunoo who happened to be drinking his water, choked on it. He blushed and started fidgeting around.
'Um...yes?'
Jay merely gave a small nod in return. In a split moment, he had a slum expression... He knew.. he was nothing like Sunoo, realising that winning Heeseung's heart was just like a dream. He clenched his fists while his heart ached.
"Wow! Go and confess to him buddy! I'm sure he will accept your feelings!' Jay teased, slapping the side of Sunoo's arms.
Sunoo's face flushed even more, to the point of his ears.
'B-But.. what if that ruins our friendship?' he groaned with sudden gloom in his voice.
Sunoo was pulled from his seat by him. Jay pincers Sunoo's lips with his fingers in an attempt to shush him. He assured Sunoo with a 'It won't.' Sunoo sat back down, with his lips intact. He was grateful. Jay has been his best friend since primary school. Jay knew Sunoo like no other. He believed in his words.
Outside the cafe, Sunoo was grinning like a Cheshire cat, he twirled around, showing off his sushine personality by greeting everyone in his way. Jay could not help but smile. Who could not love Sunoo? He has the personality like the sun and was popular for that. Jay tried to hide the miserable smile that was growing on his face. He knew that two of his close friends were a few steps away from being a thing. He slapped himself in the face. He was determined. Once they are officially together, Jay promises himself to protect and support Sunoo's relationship with Heeseung no matter what. He has always been there for Sunoo, he always had.
