"i mean we're literally 10 steps away," javon tells her once he's close enough for her to hear. aysia teasingly smiles brightly at the boy as the two bring each other in for a hug.
"i refuse to walk around by myself. now hush, take me to my seat please." javon shakes his head before turning around to lead the way to the rest of his family. despite how calm she seemed, she was so nervous. this was their first time meeting in person and she didn't want to fuck anything up with him or his family.
jessica was the first one in the group to get up and greet aysia when she came back with javon. she gave her a hug and introduced herself, she also complimented her hair and outfit.
aysia had on a pair of short denim shorts, a beige sweatshirt with a light brown crossbody handbag, along with a pair of sandals. she accessorized with a few rings on each hand, a few necklaces, and her anklet. her hair was styled in a simple slick back bun with her edges styled as usual. she also wore her (slightly worn out) 'black lives matter hat' and a pair of sunglasses, just so that it'd be a little harder for people to notice her.
she got along really well with everyone (besides javon since they set up the meeting) despite only speaking to them a handful of times.
throughout the rest of the game, jaden doesn't seem to notice that she's there. she didn't tell him that she would be coming, she just thought it'd be a nice surprise since they've only spoken to each other either on facetime or over text for the last 3 weeks.
after the game, aysia follows the team to the locker room and waits outside while the waltons continue to pack up and make conversation with other parents.
it took a while, but eventually, jaden emerges from the inside, not even glancing her way which she knew would happen.
"wow, you're not even gonna say 'hi' to me?" aysia teases, crossing her arms as she walks behind him. jaden snaps his head around and freezes, he looks at her with his eyes and mouth wide open. aysia takes it upon herself to walk up to him and wrap her arms around his neck.
