jaden's had this planned before he went to bed last night. he wanted to pull a prank on his girlfriend. after begging and begging, he finally got kylee to agree to help him.

"no," kylee responds almost immediately, cutting him off mid-sentence.

"okay, well, can you let me finish talking first?"

"no."

"why not?"

"jaden, your girlfriend's scary when she's mad. like actually scary. what if she beats my ass? and yours!" kylee says, attempting to reason with him on why he shouldn't pull this stupid prank on dakota.

"how?" jaden deadpans, looking blankly at the brunette.

"jaden, do you see the way she just looks. i've seen her angry and i do not wanna be the cause of that."

"please? just this one time?"

kylee doesn't give him an immediate response, she ponders the thought for a little before sighing and turning her body to face him completely.

"fine, but when she gets upset, i'm blaming you."

he hadn't responded to a single message or call from dakota the next morning, he didn't even respond to her goodnight text.

it was going on 7 in the evening and he still hadn't replied to a single message of hers, didn't even bother to read them.

thinking, 'fuck it', she gets out of bed, slips on her crocs before grabbing her phone and car keys. she lets her mom know where she would be before leaving the house.

her heart was beating out of her chest as she drove 20 minutes to the walton's house. she had a bad feeling that something was about to happen.

she parks in the driveway and gets out of the car. jessica is already opening the door by the time she's standing in front of it.

"kota! i've missed you!" jessica exclaims, pulling the girl into her tight embrace.

"hi, mama. is jaden here?"

"yeah, he's in his room."

dakota slips her shoes off and hangs her keys up by the door. she walks through the living room and up the stairs, turning down the hall to jaden's room.

"she's gonna kill you both."

"javon," she calls out, causing him to turn around and slam jaden's door shut.

"oh, hey, kota." dakota narrows her eyes as she stands in place, watching as javon shuffles uncomfortable on his feet.

"javon, move out of the way."
