(F/n)'s pov

For some reasons, I couldn't sense where I was. The sounds... The smell... It was all different. I noticed nothing that looked familiar, not even one tiny thing. I opened my eyes and saw everybody running. Adults, teens, children... What's happening? Why is everybody running? Where are they all going?

They were all going in one straight direction, which was behind me. I was standing on my knees, shifting my sight to where everyone was running from. I looked in front of me and saw in the distant nothing but smoke. What is happening? I asked myself. There was so much sound as well. My ears were killing me. People were screaming for their lives. Shouting at the top of their lungs. Crying all the moisture out they had in their bodies. Roars all over this place. The ground moving like there was a constant earthquake going around. Puddles of water shaking with every movement something made. Just a minute ago I was riding in my car to practice and suddenly I find myself here. Did I get myself in a car accident? No, that's not possible. I don't see other cars around here.

Then where am I?

There was smoke, there was screaming, there was blood spattering. Whatever situation did I get myself into?

"Young lady! What are you doing? Get running! The titans will kill you!", a man yelled at me, tears swelling in his eyes. He took me by my arm and pulled me up. He took me with him, the same direction everyone was going. I can't even find the time to understand anything. I luckily didn't leave my backpack behind. It was still on my shoulders. What a relief. I sighed.

I panicked. What am I supposed to do? Was it smart to believe the man I just met? I looked behind me and saw big ass giants roaming the broken city, making me have no absolute choice but to follow him. "What are those...creatures?!", I yelled at him, trying to overpower the screaming.

"Those are the titans! Keep moving or you're dead!", he yelled. I could see the tears in his eyes. This guy is serious! His tight grip on my arm didn't budge for one second. People here were scared for their life, and I don't know if I should be too.

"What do you mean dead? Those things kill humans?!", I yelled back at him.

"For God's sake! Don't you know what titans are? Just stop thinking and keep moving!", he yelled at me like I was a stupid girl. I nodded and kept running with the crowd. I heard screaming from everywhere. I looked around and the man was right! People were... getting eaten alive...

What's this kind of immense nightmare?

People were killed right in front of me. I saw a mother getting eaten alive while her children were watching. This is most traumatizing thing a child could possibly go through. I knew this wasn't a dream. My subconsciousness wasn't smart enough to make this all up. This was real!

This is the first time, and definitely not the last, that I saw a dead, human body. A woman. Laying there lifeless on the ground. Nobody stopped to check on her. Some people stepped on her and didn't even bother to look around. How great is this danger that people are acting like this?

Me and the guy were just following the massive crowd. The crowd was pushing and pushing, trying to save their own lives. Pushing everyone aside, there were hopeless children being dragged, leaving everything they knew, behind. All of us went to some kind of, harbor? We went on a boat and there, I lost him. I didn't even get the chance to say 'thank you' or something. Now it was me alone in this weird place. I asked people on the boat what was happening, but they were all in shock and trembling from anxiety. Some people saw their family get eaten alive. They were all just gazing straight forward. The fire they had in their eyes was all gone now. The adrenaline was fading away and a shaking form had appeared. Everyone was terrified. Terrified that they would die too. I myself, was terrified because I still didn't understand. Titans kill humans. That's the only thing I knew about this place.
