Zakari's Pov
After Dom left my room, I stopped grooming Maine and contemplated on everything that was going on. Like for starters, I'm actually leaving tonight, and Laemoni is a damn stalker.
I walked downstairs, after getting off the phone with Aaron's doctor, with Maine in my arms. In the midst of making it downstairs, Aaron suddenly busted through the door, and looked straight at me.
"When the fuck were you going to tell me!" He yelled at me.
"I could ask you the same fucking thing Aaron," I replied, shaking my head at his bullshit.
"Fuck you mean?" He started to become confused, but not less angry.
I scoffed because why the fuck didn't he tell anyone, "The fact that you have colorectal cancer, Aaron!" I dropped Maine before shoving Aaron.
"You didn't tell us you were leaving tonight!" He shouted at me.
"What?!" Everyone shouted in unison, looking at us. "Aaron you have fucking cancer?!" Nyeemah gave him a look that was full of concern, worry, and sadness.
"So you were just going to let yourself die!" I shoved him again.
He started to become flustered, "Why do you think I've been over more?!" He shouted once again, not making matters any better.
"That's not the point," Nyeemah yelled at him.
"Wait how do you know?" Blair finally spoke.
"I just got off the phone with his doctor. She gave the results for the screening."
Malaysia's eyes went wide, "Are you fucking serious," she got up from the couch. "When the fuck did it start?"
"When I was like eight, I don't fucking know." He informed us before Nyeemah pulled him to the couch. "Start from the beginning Aaron, and I swear if you lie." She warned him; we all sat on the couch ready to hear his story.
"Well—start with your mom," I cut him off. "After my dad died from colorectal cancer, my mom started going downhill. That was when I was around eight; she started smoking and mostly drinking." He paused for bit and looked at all of us.
"It's hereditary, and its caused by smoking and alcohol use." Malaysia informed us all.
"So you were second hand smoking?" Lola asked.
"Yeah," he stopped which made me raise my eyebrow, "My mom would give me alcohol because it'd put me to sleep."
I had to get up and find Maine because I began to become heated. I walked around looking for Maine once again, and found her ass back in my bathroom. This time in the cabinet. I picked her up and gave her some food and water before going back to where everyone else was.
"I don't remember much from back then, but sometime later, I was adopted by a close cousin and all that other stuff. They told me that I was taken away after having a seizure in class. Then a while after, that's when the blood started. I didn't know what to do, so I just kept quiet until I was fourteen."
There was a bit of silence that Nyeemah interrupted, "He met me around that time and told me about it."
"I was taken to the doctor and they said I was fine. Years later, it turns out I was misdiagnosed."
I started to think of the recent "surgery" not knowing why all that even happened. "So what was the surgery you had a few weeks ago?" Dominique asked him.
"The doctor was going off of the last time I went. She ended up doing a screening, which is why I didn't leave until two weeks later." We were enlightened again.
I shook my head at the whole situation, but gained the courage to ask, "How long you got?"
"I'm not telling y'all. So then today can be repeated, and y'all can worry?" He scrunched his face at us.
"Aaron what the fuck you mean you aren't gonna tell us? What kind of fuck ass shit is that?" Nyeemah spazzed.
"I'm not saying, so don't fucking ask. Just know when it happens," he paused so fucking dramatically.
Like I said, so fucking theatrical.
"I love all of you stupid mothafuckas."
