I'm so happy for my brother Joel and Adalind they've come a long way to get to this day. Joel fucked up back with Adalind after their son was born, did a stupid thing that most of us wanted to smack him for.
But despite all the pain and hurt and a lot of pleading on Joel's behalf, Addie forgave him and their love for each other has only grown stronger since.
It's crazy to think how fast my siblings have found and fell in love these last few years. And honestly when I look at Emma, I think it's happening to me.
Which is crazy to even think about, it's too early for that but I think I'm getting to that point with her, but I also don't want to rush or spook her.
"You still owe me a dance" snapping out of my thoughts and moved my eyes from the happy couple, to see Emma standing next to me with a smile on her face.
"Would you like to dance?" I ask with my own smile, holding my hand out to her.
"I would love too" taking her hand and pull her gently to the dance floor just as a slow love song starts to play, and we start to dance.
"Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight"
"You may have told me once or twice" she smiles.
"Well, I'm going to tell you a third time...you look absolutely stunning and beautiful tonight Anderson" I say to her, which earns me a smile.
"Thank you. I must admit it you do look very handsome in a suit lieutenant"
"I feel like a penguin in these things, but Joel threatened us because Addie threated him" I joked. Emma giggles and kisses my cheek.
"A very handsome penguin though"
"Where are the kids?" I ask her, I know she doesn't want her kids to know about us yet, I understand that. I respect her for wanting to protect her kids.
"Grams took them home about an hour ago. They were getting tired, she told me to stay and have fun, that she wouldn't wait up for me"
"I know I've already met them, but I would like to take them out for dinner along with you. What do you think?" I asked her the nerves showing in my voice.
"Are you sure it's a big step? And you and me we need to be sure this is-:" I cut of her by pulling her lips to mine and kissed her softly.
"I'm sure of everything Emma, I've never been sure of anything more in my life. You, me and eventually the kids I want to make it work, I'm ready to fight for you all. What do you say?" I ask her hopefully.
Until I met her I never saw myself with a house, a dog, or a family one day.... Hell now! It wasn't what I wanted or thought I needed in my life but then she came crashing into my full force and it all started to change, and I am glad that I met Emma because she's opening my heart up to all these possibilities that I thought I never wanted, but she makes me want them.
Since the moment I first kissed Emma, I knew she was different and I knew it would be a hard road, because of what she's had to face and because she needs to put her kids first, but that isn't going to stop me fighting everyday for her or her kids.
Because Emma is slowly beginning to become my whole universe and I know once I meet her kids formally and get to know them, that they will mean just as much to me as their mother does... it's inevitable that I'm going to fall in love with all of them. I just hope I can be everything that they need me to be.
"I say take me home Eli.... show me that I am yours" she whispers in my ear.
Locking my eyes with hers so I can be sure she means what she's saying... to make sure this is what she really wants, because once we cross that line, I know it will change everything between us, and she will be mine and I will be her I just know it.
Breaking away from my thoughts as I look into her eyes deeper, but she just smiles and nods her head, before taking my head into hers, interlocking our hands together.
As we make our way home.

Opening the door to my apartment, pulling Emma gently in with me before shutting the door behind us, turning around to face her just as I'm met with her eyes already staring at me... searching her eyes for any hesitation, any uncertainty but I don't see any as she smiles at me, before standing on her tiptoes while bringing my lips to her.
Wrapping my arms around her, taking control of the kiss, deepening it. Letting our tongues dance together as we both battle for control of the kiss.
Breaking away from her, both of panting from the experience of the kiss.
"Are you sure about this? I don't want you to have any regrets"
"The only regret I will have Eli if we don't" she whispers and then before I know it, she unzips the side of her dress and lets it fall to the floor before stepping out of it and meets my eyes again.
Looking over her gorgeous body, as she stands in front of me in nothing but her underwear.
"Beautiful... absolutely beautiful" I hush out as I rush towards her kissing the hell out of her, lifting her off her feet, as she wraps her legs around my waist, either one of us breaking the hot and heavy kiss between us.
Once in the bedroom, placing her down on the bed and break the kiss.
Pulling back from her, takin a step away as I start to undress. Emma's eyes are on me the whole time.
Once I'm fully naked before her, I locked my eye on her.
"Are you ready?" I ask her again, I've never been so unsure how to act with a woman before when sleeping with them, but I know that she is different, and I need to make sure she's okay with every step we take.
Emma's eyes meet mine and she smirks at me. Her eyebrows rising in a challenge.
"Show me what you've got lieutenant" she challenged me.
Throwing her sexy smirk right back as I take her in my arms again, kissing her. Before hovering over her, as our bodies move together.
And I spend all night showing her what she does to me and what I've got.
