I could feel this very weird feeling in my whole body and everything was still white, it was almost like a flash from a grenade. I open my eyes to see that I'm in the middle of an coffee shop. I look around and see see that all the walls were covered with posters of... The Beatles? What kind of Coffee shop has posters of The Beatles nowdays? And why am I here? I look round again only to find that Alice is sitting on the opposite of the table looking very confused.

"What happened? Where am I?" She says with a very thin voice. "I don't know, there was this flash and then I was here" I blurt out. I look around again and I didn't notice until now, everyone is dressing like they're in the.... 80s? Wait what-

Ohhh....

"Omg, omg, omg..." I whisper to myself. "What?" Alice says and looks at me but I don't quite cope her. "That can't be- That's impossible..."

I look up at Alice who looks like she's trying to solve the worlds hardest math equation. She stares at me as if I'm supposed to say anything. "I think I know what happened, but you cant freak out okay?" I say while trying not to freak out myself.

"Before you entered the room I typed in a year and a place on some screen..." This feels so unreal just saying out loud. "And.... when you said my name I jumped and I think I may have accidentally pressed something. Do you understand what I am saying?" I look at Alice who just sits still and looks as confused as she did before. "... I think we may have traveled in time" I continue looking at Alice who just sits there listening to me.

I run out of the Coffee shop and stop for a moment and look around. The Cars, the clothes, the buildings... We are for sure not in Ireland 2022 anymore. I can't believe what's happening right now. I see that Alice is standing on the right side of me trying to process everything.  "What year and place did you exactly pick?" she asks while looking around again.

"London 1984" I say slowly with a very weak voice. Alice turns to me and stares with wide open eyes. "Well, we're technically f*cked" she blurt out.

I don't know what we're supposed to do now, I've never been in London before. We can't just stand here in the middle of London looking like this, I mean everyone is looking at us and we're not melting in with the crowds at all. "We gotta go to a hotel, I've got some money but I don't think it's enough- oh right, the money I have is much more worth here than in the future.

We check in to a hotel and then walk up to our room. As I open the door I realise the lady in the reception gave us one big bed. "I though we were supposed to get two beds" Alice says while closing the door. "Same, I can go down and ask for a new room" I say, walking towards the door. "It's fine Tori, we can share a bed until tomorrow. I'm too tired at the moment, I just want to sleep". I nod my head and go to sleep.
