Azreil Lune Swan was aware of the supernatural, as any other best friend of a lone shape-shifter would be. She knew that the bad vampires had red eyes, and the good vampires had gold. She knew they all had pale skin and a scent that drew you in, not even mentioning their beauty. She knew everything her best friend knew, from what she experienced. She knew she wouldn't judge her if she fell in love with a vampire, because her friend had imprinted on one herself.
What she didn't know was how hard it was to keep this knowledge from the rest of her family. What she didn't know was that she would fall in love with two vampires, and that they both fell in love with her too. What she didn't know was how much she'd want to spend eternity with them. What she didn't know was the treaty preventing that.
And what she didn't know was why.
