Pairing: Akali x Evelynn

Clouds drifting through the sky and providing a much welcomed shade to the people underneath, the weather was truly nice and wasn't as bothering as it usually was. With the lack of the direct rays of the sun beating down on the city, it gave everyone a break from constantly wiping away drops of sweat forming on their foreheads.

Inside one of the many tall, residential buildings around the area, a certain celebrity could be found gazing out the window, allowing herself to idly admire the scenery before her. While her eyes wandered gradually, her mind was filled with more pressing matters.

Akali sighed as she leaned against the window, lips moving every now and then. A sign she unconsciously exhibited whenever she was deep in thought. Clearly, she was pondering about something more important than writing any draft lyrics for her rap in their band's next song.

Her lyrics notebook was laid on the bed, completely open and decorated by a fair count of messy erasures here and there. An uncapped pen was left on top, the tip deliberately drying as it had been forgotten by its uninspired user.

Right beside the mentioned items though, Akali's phone could be found untouched. The rapper didn't seem to have any plans in taking it, regardless of the urge to call Evelynn and tell her all about what their manager had said just a couple of minutes ago.

Evelynn had just left around two hours ago for her flight and Akali didn't exactly want to stress herself so early in the day.

The moment the freestyler heard the notification sound of her phone, she turned her gaze away from the window and directed it to the said gadget. She pursed her lips for a second before lightly biting down on the lower part, pushing herself off the glass after a few seconds of just staring.

Currently, Kai'Sa was out on a little catch-up date with Sivir, while Ahri was meeting with Taric to discuss their new schedule for the week. Surely, most of you are wondering why Akali's home alone. It's simple, really.

She seemed to have been stressing herself too much about the situation with Evelynn and in return, it made her somewhat ill. Literally. No one was sure why Akali felt a bit sick with a light fever and if such was caused by a bug or if it was entirely out of absolute stress.

If it weren't for her flight, Evelynn probably would have stayed by her bedside. Despite not wanting the diva to leave in the first place, Akali took it upon herself to push the woman out of the penthouse and off to her vacation. She didn't want to add herself into the list of things for Evelynn to be concerned about. She also knew Evelynn would have probably canceled her trip if she gave her enough reason to do so.

Thankfully, the woman budged and allowed herself to take her departure after making sure Akali had everything she would need, which included a nice warm meal and more than a handful of expensive yet highly-effective medicine. One tight hug and a tender farewell kiss later, illness be damned, Evelynn was off, leaving Akali to stay in her own bedroom with the things provided to her by her fiancée.

An hour after Evelynn left, Akali tried relaxing as much as she could manage, not wanting her mood to be an added cause of her sickness worsening. Mind was master of the body, after all. Either KaiʼSa or Ahri, one of the members of K/DA would return soon enough to take over in watching over her, so now all she needed to do was rest and wait.

Now, since Akali didn't have anyone to discuss her current issue with, she was left to try and resolve it by herself. What's making it so hard was that she was apparently going to be visited by a certain someone.
