"I can't believe you're leaving me! You're all I have left after my parents death. Being loaded with a trust fund and living alone is not fun!" Adrianna cried in to her step-dad's arm. He looked down at her with disgust, never truly loving her but only faking it when she looks up. She looked up, he quickly smiled. Note the fake kindness? Adrianna's pulse started to race, the trickling of rain smacked the balcony outside. Her anger was in sync with the heavy pouncing of rain which started to fall. "Screw you! You can piss off. I don't need anyone. Get the hell out!"
Mark got up, he apologised, "I'm sorry Ade, you know I love you." His hands were sweating, almost relieved because he could leave his "fake daughter" (as he called it). Adrianna stood up straight. She fixed her top, tidied her hair and wiped her mascara of tears.
Adrianna poured her self a glass of wine and sat on her stool. She gave Mark the dirtiest look and walked up to him. "You're a pig. Because of you my mother went to my father and they both ran away. They were chasing you. Not my parents. You and those murderers will pay," Adrianna spat, "You're a dick. You think I haven't realised you hate me too?" Adrianna opened her door. "You never loved me, Mark. You could never be a father figure. I hate you. Don't you dare think you can steal my mothers money. You will give it back, or else." Adrianna threatened.
Mark left happily. Adrianna burst in to tears, she has no one left. She knew that Mark could get on with his life and was sure that his ex wife's money would go no where but in to his bank account. He was excited that he didn't have to take care of an eighteen year old who wasn't even his child. Meanwhile, Adrianna sat on her chair looking through the big windows that took up her walls, she looked at the reflection on the puddles of New York's lights. Her tears trembled on to her jeans. She envied the night sky because knowing that her parents were there made her heart hurt even more. She whispered to her self, "five years gone by and they still haven't found the murderers. The pain truly stays."
Monday - 6:50 am
Adrianna only had 2 hours of sleep. Last night was a blast. "Aargh. Oh my god! My head kills!" She turned over and Cynthia was on her left hand side. Cynthia was massaging her forehead. "What happened last night?!" Cynthia cried.
"After you tried to get in bed with Drew Court?.. I saved you from making a horrible mistake and we drank and then umm.. I can't remember! Shit."
"Oh my God, Ade. I didn't sleep with him and that's all that matters."
"This hangover is the worst ever! How much did we drink?!"
"Tequila and Vodka. That's all I can say." Cynthia laughed.
"Its six fifty five am!! Get the hell up! We have school!"
"Ade? I wonder if your hotel neighbours complained. If they did we are dead."
"Oh for God's sake. I only have a few million pounds, I can't just keep repairing shit when I have parties. Ugh." Adrianna was being sarcastic, being proud of the rich girl she is she was grateful but sometimes it wasn't enough as she'd rather be poor to get her family back.
Red plastic cups were everywhere, the messy room was only making their hangover worse, bits of pizza was inside her dirty white sheets. "This is the advantages of living in a hotel.. Room service." A worker walked in and gave a long sigh. She talked in an Italian accent and cried, "Why do you always do this Adrianna?! Who has Sunday parties this big!" Adrianna looked at Cynthia and they both laughed and was only proud that none of them had sex last night.
After a shower Adrianna and Cynthia both got ready for school. Manhattan is a busy place. Adrianna looked in her long mirror on her hotel door and brushed her long brown her. She thought to her self how she thought her step-dad would've come back, but he didn't. "Babe, are you okay?" Cynthia said worriedly. "Yeah, yeah! Come on lets go!"
Adrianna wore a open chequered blue shirt with a tucked in white top and black jeans. Her brown hair was left out. She held her purse in one hand and walked down the lobby like a model and in to the main entrance where there was a bar in the front. Cynthia wore a white, tight body-con dress up to her knees and heels, her blonde hair tied in a neat bun.
"Ugh. I can't even stand to look at the alcohol at the moment. Thia, pass me some of that lipstick you're wearing, I need a bit of ruby to my lips." A guy behind the bar winked at Adrianna. He had the dreamy chocolate, caramel eyes and the perfect brown quiff. A cute cheek scar that could turn any girl on. He was cleaning a glass and still looked perfect. Adrianna was startled, she stopped applying the lipstick. "Ew, why on Earth did that guy just wink at you!" Cynthia said with disgust. Adrianna was disgusted her self, "I really don't know, I'm not even showing any ass off today?" The guy came over to Adrianna and whispered in her ear, "last night was amazing." Adrianna's blood rushed, her eyes widened while her brain was exploding, her palms were sweating and her body felt hot. Her mind was internally screaming. "OH MY GOD THIA! WHAT HAVE I DONE?!" Adrianna ran outside, Cynthia followed and quickly rushed out.
The damp floors from the heavy rain last night started to dry from the sun. The rays of sunlight beamed on Adrianna's forehead which made her sweat even more. A million problems were added to her brain. (Not one was school problems). She glanced back through the glass doors. She saw that the bar guy went back over to his bar and continued cleaning while mouthing, "The names Justin." His chuckle was inaudible and his smile had her weak and so she weakly smiled back at him, she felt awkwardly surprised at her response to that. Justin looked back down and cleaned his glasses. She thought to her self, "talk about the pain truly staying." Adrianna quickly turned to Cynthia crying, "I lost my virginity to that guy?"
