THE NEWBIES, the novices, the intermediates were all gathered into a single central room. There were many locations where the agency would gather, but this was the most versatile. Though it wasn't the fanciest, the warehouse-like building was clean and inconspicuous.
It hid many secrets. Classrooms, meeting rooms, laboratories, a gym to practice hand-to-hand combat in, computer room, even a shooting range.
It was perfect for hiding bigger equipment as well. The cars that were used to refine driving skills were located in a garage tucked away. Three rooms were dedicated to hiding a helicopter, with a pull away rooftops for easy exits.
Plus, a runway was close by for the high-flyers to practice their aeroplane skills.
Other rooms were available too, designed for the more domestic and tamer activities. A kitchen, places to shower, and sleep. It was well equipped to accomodate the organisation under a mask of innocence and mundanity.
There was machinery and equipment littered on the open floor, shelves full of boxes, raw resources. It gave the illusion of a storage warehouse, but that's all it was; an illusion.
The recruits were guided into a meeting room, located high above the props found on the open floor below. There was a glass window in the room, allowing the novices to gaze and awe at the "warehouse" while they awaited the masterminds, their teachers.
The meeting room was well lit, decorated, luxurious even. Hired Guns Agency was well funded to say the least, demonstrating by its fancy paintings and modern interior design how well thriving in chaos can pay off.
While waiting for the leaders of the organisation, Nolani granted the newbies permission to explore the warehouse - on the condition that they do not break anything.
They are to free to train their gunmanship, their hand-to-hand combat, use the laboratory, computer room, or even unpack their belongings if they had planned prior to stay at the warehouse full time.
